Enjoyed your discussion of how ownership of manufactured life forms is treated in sci-fi stories. Have your read "Code Of The Lifemaker" by James P. Hogan?
It is an interesting story revolving around what constitutes life; he had a long, involved backstory about how automated factories become biological analogues, and the robotic mechanisms become self-determined living beings.
Check it out, as Joe Bob Briggs would say.
Good morning, Mr. Glass.
Thanks for the thought-provoking answer to my question. That SO could've gone worse.
Enjoy your weekend.
