This Is What TeeVee Can Look Like
A camera, a couple of smart, funny people talking knowledgeably about matters of great and immediate importance.
Just not that hard.
The reason our political teevee looks instead like this
and why creatures like Wall Street's pet Quisling in Armani
are passed off as Reasonable Democrats year after year after year
is because our Corporate Media Overlords affirmatively choose to feed the public establishmentarian poison with a yummy candy-coating of Centrism.

Very difficult to win against a stacked media which I guess is more powerful than all the internets put together.
There are more dumb fuckers of various varieties in this country than ever before and I say that number grows daily.

You would think, that with newsrooms being strictly profit centers now, someone at CNN would just say...fuck it , we cant get any worse: Time to drop the centrist bullshit, get rid of the both sides do it meme, and just do the actual news!
We have Fox and Fox lite (ABC) cornering the wingnut market, Current and MSNBC are pulling in miniscule numbers (and hide their talent in obscure time slots)....CNN could just pull a "reverse Sorkin".....instead of a show about the way the news should be, CNN could have the news...the way the news should be! Crazy idea....
I'm still trying to convince myself that I really didn't just hear Noonan say, "Some things should just be mysterious." *That* is political commentary?!?
I think she's trying to implement Orwell's "protective stupidity".
