I just love things like this. Is there really any need to make a 12cc V-12? Of course not, but I love the effort and precision involved (yes, I have an engineering degree). Its why I love MIT's Rube Goldberg competition.
When I was graduating (about 30 years ago), a classmate was working on a concrete canoe - one of about 12 universities that unofficially made them and raced against each other. Total nerd thing. Last I checked its gone worldwide, maybe a hundred or more schools that make them.

Is the output measured in eohippus-power?
That would make for a very authentic E-type RC car.

This was the longest video I have been able to sit through since I lost my last job. I sure do miss "my" lathe.
