You're referring to the passage of Our Fair Lugar into the dusty halls of Booz Allen Hamilton or Deloitte or some other nebulous "consulting" firm which will quickly acquaint him with riches beyond his wildest Hoosier dreams in exchange for naked influence-peddling and cushy DoD contracts?

But which men are these who wish only to watch it all burn? The whining MOTUs at the tops of hedge funds and TBTF banks? Rusty Limpballs and his ilk? Or is it the latest, fired up reactionaries being elected to office? I suspect the latter - assuming the former cannot control their weak characters with outrageous commissions, campaign bribe cash and wingnut emoluments.
On some days, I too could be that kind of man who just wants it all to burn down. Of course, what I want to burn down is the entire empire of wingnuttery that has come to pass around us. More importantly, I understand when the match is lit, there is no way to control the passage of the flame. Something our friends on the right have forgotten -- to their peril.

Having lived in butt-fuck Indiana (from Chicago), the State got what it deserves.
Perhaps it's youthful pessimism or the local negativity shaping my opinion but, I'd say those people are getting what they want. The world is aflame, and I see a hundred pyromaniacs for every firefighter. It's hard to hope sometimes, and be realistic, without being a cynic.
