The Highlight of My Day Yesterday?

The 2nd grader spontaneously deciding that she wanted to do a project on Martin Luther King, Jr. and read it to the rest of us.

That's very heart-warming and uplifting. Also heart-warming and uplifting is the news that the recall petition in Wisconsin has collected over a million signatures. This is almost twice the number of signatures necessary to force a recall election, and this despite numerous threats and assaults from racist and redneck supporters of Governor Scott Walker. I actually feel rather less morbid, gloomy, and cynical today.

On your update.

I too have had conversation with people about who on the left is the mirror image of Limbaugh, Hannity, and the rest of the rogue's gallery in right wing media.

The best I get is Olbermann, Moore, Garafalo, Schulz.

When I point out that my side will honestly retract and correct mistakes or apologize for personal attacks but the righties don't, I get nothing other than senseless blather or some mumbo jumbo.

Or the conversation abruptly ends or changes subject.

It must be difficult living in lies.

Which obviously assumes on my part there is some conscience over there.

oops, wrong post. That one above was meant for you chat with Sullivan.

As for the MLK speech, Matthew 21:

16 “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him.

“Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read,

“‘From the lips of children and infants
you, Lord, have called forth your praise."
