A sense that Mr. Brooks (like so many of his kind and class) simply cannot accept the evidence of his senses and the evidence of his own, massive failures.

"We're at war" - yes, that tends to be where you get when millions of assholes declare war on you.

Perhaps more Americans should be worrying about an internecine right-versus-right civil war: batshit insane, armed to the tits & less united every day is no way to run a railroad.

Hearing you talk about the way the Right re-brands itself every few years for some reason made me think of The Doctor (Doctor Who) who 'regenerates' once every few seasons to bring in a new actor.

Is the right Regenerating?

@SteveUN: Actually, I think it is degenerating the way the Master was during the tenure of the fourth Doctor (Tom Baker).
