Today's Village Times headline: Full Government meltdown averted. The Aftermath -- budget fallout will do major damage, but the good news is that this (entirely preventable crisis) didn't destroy every useful social program in the country.

Its so clear, so obvious that this whole budget "crisis" was entirely artificial. The result they achieved was what was intended by both parties, or rather the Owners of both parties, all along.
It was just a tedious, talentless Song & Dance Routine to distract the morons from what was really going on. Not long from now Social Security will be "Privatized" (destroyed) and our House Speakers and Senate Leaders and President & Aids will BOAST of what a wonderful, bipartisan thing they have done.

America is going to be such a lovely place 20 years from now, just as the first group of seniors who won't have access to Medicare start finding out that those $8k vouchers will pay for about 1/4 of the health insurance they need to survive. Is this really the world US citizens want to live in?
