I remember the special where they were running the anchor as an Ontario MLA.
He gets shot in the head midway through so they find themselves trying to get a literally brain dead candidate elected. Once the candidate is brain dead the campaign goes much smoother, as the professionals just take over and do their jobs.
IIRC, he flatlines just as the vote totals look like they're showing a win for him.
