It's not just the rapid right that is making dire predictions. Take a look at how the people at The Automatic Earth (.blogspot.com)have laid out their predictions. Although they don't identify themselves as liberal, it's not too hard to guess.

@Robert: Yes. There is nothing extremist about pointing out that infinite growth on a finite planet is simply not possible and the attempt to make it possible will lead to disaster.
