Regression To The Wingnut...

From Raw Story:
Olbermann suspended for refusing on-air apology.

C'mon, Keith. If GENBC's moguls are willing to collectively man-up and apologize to you, the least you can do is accept.
"MSNBC host Keith Olbermann was suspended for refusing to apologize on air for donating to Democratic candidates, according to a report from Politico."

Oh.
Never mind.

As scarce as strident progressive voices are in our media, Keith's departure could have actually been a blessing.

I'd hoped that his transgression would open a wider inquiry on the dismal state of "journalism" and the need for "standards".

Unfortunately, the debate over his suspension has been quickly framed as an isolated clash between a "Shock Jock" and his radio station. An internal matter unrelated to what passes for "News".

Not unexpected. Just unfortunate.

Aiiiiee!!!!!

I think that you've called it precisely, Dg.

And to believe that they've moved the ball so far rightward that this is where the "mean" now exists . . . .

Ohhhhhhhhh!!!!

And people think that all we need is a little more time for "education."

Sheesh!!!!!!

Oddly enough, it was the first one that came to me....but I think given the Comcast situation...it hits the mark.

P.S.

I may only watch Keith about once a week any more....but judging from the heavy attacks I am seeing in the comments on other blogs (including people who he used to have on his show), he is still doing the hard work. Work no one else has the guts to do, night after night.
So I would guess his bosses are trying to....

GLEAN BOREWARD

Lets get his back, he has always had ours...
