Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan...
and the army of pimps, douchbags, fluffers and other B-Ark refugees who have made an industry and a mountain of cash out of wasting our valuable time and cultural bandwidth relentlessly ramming the irrelevant tribulations of failed carbon-based celebrity flotsam like Lohan down our collective throats all need to spend a whole lot more time in the hole than 90 days.

Gawd, I love your writing.
I fondly remember Humble Pie, but don't know this Ms. Lohan. From your description, it looks like I am the better for not having risked exposure to whomever and whatever she is.
My fav Humble Pie song - Isn't that Peter Frampton out front in his John Lennon army shirt?
I have mixed feelings about Lindsey. She reminds me of a kid who gets caught at EVERYTHING and can't catch a break. On the other hand, she seeks out the attention and the accompanying scrutiny that comes with it so I guess you can't have it both ways.
Your commentary on the media is very well put - "..irrelevant tribulations of failed carbon-based celebrity flotsam..." (awesome). The question is, when are we as a culture going to see real news in the cages at the check-out line in the grocery store instead of personality based rumor rags? There have to be at least 20 Enquirer wannabes in racks. Maybe one Time magazine special buried in the bottom. If the headlines on the magazines read,"BP skimming million$ instead of oil" - they'd have my attention. Unfortunately, the only time you see anyting like that it's in the Daily World News next to the amazing monkeyboy and Al Gore's Alien Lover.
Ah, the dumbing down of America - mission accomplished?
