Sunday Morning Comin’ Down

This week, the Mouse Circus was basically the antithesis of this:

On “This Week”

Liz-Spawn-of-Dick Cheney was let out of her Fox News containment device long enough to lie about her Daddy’s various crimes and treasons.

Arianna Huffington pushed back a little, smiling Barbie-like the whole time, dahling!

George Will whined about the New Deal (no kidding.)

And Markos Moulitsas made some growly noises, after which Liz-Spawn-of-Dick Cheney walked over him like a riverfront promenade.

Eventually Will made little tappy-tappy sounds (captured on-camera), signaling George Stephanopoulos Terry Moran Christiane Amanpour Jake Tapper to stop all that goll dern chatter about War and Peace and Oil already and get on with Baseball. Because after spending 40 years making a princely living bitching about Franklin Roosevelt twice a week and penning occasional paeans to the National Pastime, baseball has indeed been berry, berry good to George Will.

Other than that, the French Open spared us David Gregory and “Meet the Press” .
Oil is still vomiting uncontrollably into the Gulf.
Watching “Fox News Sunday” is still like bobbing for turds in a fry-vat.
John Kerry still doesn’t know how to end a sentence.
John Cornyn is still a tool.

And the Sunday Morning centerpiece of our mainstream political media is still a national embarrassment.

Living overseas, I must rely on the interwebby to tell me what is what on my Sunday am news shows. So you will pardon my confusion, drifty, because you tell me that Arianna "pushed back a little" but over at that paean of "free journalism", the Huffington Post, they said that "Arianna Battles Liz Cheney Over Gulf Spill, Halliburton, Gaza Crisis On 'This Week'.

Gosh, what's a poor boy to do?

Oh, Arianna, brave champion of freedom - such cheery comity in the insipid moonface of evil's banal offspring, but why dost thou not grab that vile harpy by the dirty neck of her salmon-pink two-piece and piledrive her right through yon roundtable in front of George Will's gaping gobsmacked piehole?

Imagine the glory...and the ratings. Do it for America, anon.

I'm with darkblack.

As if anyone running the U.S. today can be embarrassed.
