Among The Things I Heard Today
was Captain Obvious on "Meet The Press" solemnly intoning "You're gonna need a bigger boat" when referring to the bailout.
And I thought,
"Wow, that sure is sage and insightful."
Among the things I saw today was Chris Matthews talking about Time Magazine's cleverness in coming up with the idea of photoshopping the President Elect's face into
FDR's body for this week's cover.
And I thought,
"Wow, that sure is sage and insightful."
Hehehe.
A Mouse Circus rundown of sorts will come later.
Right now I'm going to go find a bar :-)

Ma'mosas or Bloddy Merry's?
breakfast of champions, ye sage and insitefull one!
Tommy Friedman's hate of the American worker and industry was something to behold on Press the Meat this morning.
Doesn't he get it? Without those scummy union auto workers spending their credit backed incomes in his wife's malls, then Tommy stands to lose even more of his $25,000,000 fortune?
And his loving lickfest for the bankers who stand to gain $700,000,000,000 in our taxpayer backed foreign loans was despicable. C'mon Tommy, automakers only asking for 3.5% of the booty!!! Give them a brake!
And don't even get me going about that jacka** Richard Shelby.

The FDR/Obama idea has already been done...check out Richard Thompson's drawing for this New Yorker article.
Wait, he actually said that? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I'm catching up after the luncheon apertifs, and you, Sir, are the insightful Maestro of the Sunday Morning hogfest.
We await your artful disdodging.

Personally, I'm rather partial to that Jaws pastiche, D., and all the penurious intellectual smash-and-grab proffered by Suck-On-Tommy Six Months will never change that.
Also, apart from acting as a body model for that jiveass Time cover, FDR was a man of many talents...President, visionary, unclogger of stopped-up drains...
;>)
We'll know in six months to a year?
Another Tom.. Paxton said it so well back in 1980...
"So when they hand the $million grand$ out, I'll be standing with my hand out, yessir, I'll get mine!"
Arlo plays Paxton
Arlo updated for Fannie Mae

How many more "Friedman's" until Iraq is a social democracy?
Economics 101 taught by Professor Driftglass. If only the new deciders were sitting in on this class with the rest of the driftglass faithful.
Keep telling it like it is.
