Back in June, you wrote this:

"This is because McSame doesn’t just need The Base; he needs them on fire.

He needs them whipped into a peak of howling, manic, batshit, fuck-you-let’s-kill-‘em-all, political wilding frenzy.

Which is one helluvan assignment, because while our more reptilian fellow citizens haven’t gotten any more human in the last seven years, the fascist popskull that used to thrill through their veins has largely gone flat.

All the bubbles fizzed away from seven long years of screaming at the top of their chickenhawk lungs about the untrammeled joy of living in the ass crack of Dubya's Fucknozzle Feudalism.

Because these people had been promised things. Weird, scary things.

Sometimes bareback and shrieking and sometimes with a dog-whistle, but the Base was were promised that Commander Guy was gonna deliver cheap gas from his Dear Uncle Saud.

They were promised a permanent wingnut majority. They were promised a savage, worldwide comeuppance to every variety of Scary Brown Persons who haunt the bedwetty dreams of White Rightard Christian Patriots everywhere."

How the fuck did you know about Vlad "Imp" Palin way back then?

As always, I'm staggered by your magnificence.

Driving through town yesterday, I went by a bunch of VFW people, jumping up and down, waving flags and chanting "Support the Troops". Hard to argue with VFW people. At the next redlight the guy in the car next to me looks over at me and said "Best way to support our troops is to get them the fuck home and send the Bushies in to replace them". Didn't know what else to say other than "you're absolutly fucking right". We drove on.
I'd like to think the fear is starting to melt away.

Your fear will never be gone. It lives inside you.

She's used to performing. Good at it, too.

We got bigger fish to fry.

McCain/bush.

She's a distraction and in a week, she will be SO outed for her husband's connects to Stevens and Abramoff which is HOW she rose to government service from her asture beginnng as a bake sale coordinator.

But in the meantime, she keeps the heat off the racism and evil of McCain . . . BTW, his campaign rewrote their abortion plank. It now reads as right wing as Palin is. What's gonna happen when she has to go under the bus? Will LIEberman have to move right, or will the plank edge back over to where McCain had it?

Time will tell.

In the meanwhile, she's a good perfomer.
She didn't go thru all those machinations during Trig's delivery when her water broke to have him born Alaskan, she was hoping he'd die in the process she strung out.

She didn't really WANT a deformed baby . . . but she couldn't abort it, either . . .

Harumph.

This is getting eerie, Larue.

We're on the same frequency. Where's Dan?

After seeing her adorable family pass the Down syndrome babe back and forth like a football in front of those hot lights and yelling masses, I was wondering how long the little guy could hold up. I'd like to get a second opinion, though.

So perfect, Dg,

You are operating continuously (somehow) at the peak of your game (although maybe you'll just keep superseding yourself).

I didn't think you would be able to top the new U.S. flag (Time cover?) (perfection), but you did!

I wish William F. Buckley were alive to see your McCarthy take.

Too much.
