A Tom Waits Friday Farewell

to the soon-to-be former Governor of New York.

A hypocrite who got pwned bigger, harder, pwndier and with more pure pwned-a-riffic poetic symmetry than we have are likely to see again for a long time.

Tom Waits -- "The One that Got Away"

...
Dressed in full orchestration, stage-door Johnny's got to pay,
And sent him home talking 'bout the one that got away

Could have been on Easy Street, could have been a wheel,
With irons in the fire and all them business deals
But the last of the big-time losers shouted before he drove away,
"I'll be right back, as soon as I crack the one that got away"

I must admit, this one surprised me.

Not that a crusader could be hypocritical, of course. But the length and breadth and sheer smarminess of the deception... that had me gobsmacked.

And judging from the stunned faces on the people around him, they were too.

It's my feeling that he hid this from everyone; no wink wink nudge nudge here.

Welcome to Bush-Whack Theatre:

Pussy Posse Keystone Kops Keep Us Safe from Terrorist Snatch.

Follow the money, folks. $200 BILLION of it ... cuz it came from OUR bank accounts. (Unlike Eliot's Nookie Fund, comprised of his own entertainment bucka-fucka-roos.)

Greg Palast -- forensic accounting investigator extraordinaire -- figured it out easy peasy.

Let's stop tsk-tsk-tsking like repressed grannies and Follow The Money.

Proof that although some of us NYers may be in shock, our senses of humor are somewhat intact.

(I'd like to throttle him, though.)

This NYer is never shocked at the Piggy Depths to which the Bush Fascisti will sink.

Did you read Greg Palast's "Go For the Crotch" financial forensics on why Eliot was taken out, for nookie's sake?? (URL in post above.)

And no need to "throttle him" res ipsa loquitur. I'm only surprised they did not Paul Wellstone him. Am sure they wanted to; but why bother if you can get the masses in a twist over extra-marital sex??? It worked for the pre-coup d'etat set up in 2000, right? (The Blow Job Articles of Impeachment)

That was one fine linky referral Anon. Thanks.

I also flipped on THIS one, which implicates MY candidate Obama as either stupid or, well, stupid.
And bought and sold, perhaps. But that's not new is it, for a pol.

Great song in "honor" of Spitzer. Most appropriate!
