I don't buy this for a minute. The conservatards will whine and bitch now, but in the end, they'll fall into line behind St. John like the good little 'bots they are. In the meanwhile, gullible, "low information" (read: "morons") moderates and independents who dislike Hillary will hear all this whining and think: "Duh... I guess that there McCain feller must not be so bad after all!" I smell a scam.

On the other hand, anything that makes that bunch of murderous pricks unhappy makes me very happy and if McCain ain't up to snuff in their eyes the I say slam that steel wedge home with a 20 lb. sledge hammer.

What bk said. Something about pushing the already-falling enemy over the cliff. Yeah on that!! I've also seen it as not tossing the Devil a life preserver when his/her/its sorry ass has been thrown overboard.
