Okay, this is OT and I'm taking advantage of Driftglass, but does anyone know if a Gilliard community "coming together" site is in the offing? Nothing'll beat Steve of course................. just I've been wandering around the last few weeks, seeing some familiar names and just wishing that things were otherwise............ i.e., the Big Guy was still around, doling it out Big Time, and dealing with the trolls.

I just stumbled on this blog, and have been reading for a couple of hours now. I think you are a brilliant rhetorician and I agree with almost everything I've seen here so far, but I have to lodge a complaint as regards this particular post.
Carnivore, if it exists, is an abomination. If "we, the sane" ever get control of the reins, we cannot use such tools, no matter how noble our object, or how apropos our use of their own machinery against them. It is beneath us. And more importantly, it is (or should be) anathema to our beliefs in a principled system of government under the rule of law.
Still, thanks for the other posts. I have enjoyed them immensely, and also (unexpectedly) gained a lot of impetus from the obvious passion there. (Gee, I thought I had a lot of hate for despotism.)
