Morning dg,, say,, somthing I've noticed,, your page does not always refresh for me,, I'm on firefox,, sometimes I miss your newest and bestest,, thats all I'm saying. Think i have the same thing at atrios.
That pic of bush and rice in red and black,, perfect.
sightunseen,
I have the same problem with several sites, both with Firefox & IE. Safaris' cool -- I like the one-click reset and cache-killer -- but Blogger behaves weirdly.
And since time is at a premium these days, I shrug it off (along with a lot of small- to medium-sized irritants) hit refresh a few times, and then move on.
Glad you liked the pic.
So many possibilities:
"If George Takei had written an episode."
"These are the voyages of the starship BROKEBACK. Its 69-month mission: to explore strange new perversions, to seek out new life in old vibrator batteries, to boldly go where no man has gone before!"
"I. WISH...I COULD...QUIT....YOU!"
"Resistance is futile. You will be ASSimilated." (oops, wrong Trek)
Beam me up, Scotty, there's no intelligent life on Planet GOP, Kid Charlemagne
I surprised myself in mustering any humor today. After all, it's the 7th anniversary of our losing the moon.
What? We lost the moon? When did that happen? To who? Jeezus Christ, I should watch the news more often.
On the plus side, Kid, it's only 12 more years until we get warp drive. And it's the 10th anniversary of the end of the Eugenics wars, when our brave fighting boys defeated that awful Khan. (I for one don't believe that conspiracy-theory BS about Khan flying off into space. That's just tin-foil hat craziness. I mean, where could he go in one of those DY-100 deathtraps? )
Ohhh. Ri-i-ght. Moon. 1999. Got it. That goddamned Commander Koenig. Forgot about him.
Trek-ilicious!
Oh hell yes.
This is even better than the Bilbo Baggins mash-up with The Streets (search YouTube if you don't know what I'm talking about).
