for Very Best Alliterativish Lyric in Rock and Roll,
Goes to...
(Drum roll)
...as always, to the late Warren Zevon for this line from “Werewolves of London”:
“Little old lady got mutilated late last night”
Oh yeah,
…
If you hear him howling around your kitchen door
Better not let him in
Little old lady got mutilated late last night
Werewolves of London again
Werewolves of London
Hell yes.
Sleep well, Warren.
Honorable Mention goes to this artist...
For this line from “Steve McQueen”:
“All my heroes hit the highway
'Cause they don't hang out here no more”
Oh, and FYI, both songs need to be pushed through Cheyenne Mountain-grade, H-Bomb-proof speakers to adequately appreciate their subtle, acoustical qualities.

Okay Drift...you're scaring me...I happen to love that song as well, (I always think of it as a bastard child of Don McLean's "American Pie"--of teh blood, but as yet unacknowledged).
Lucky fella, that Lance Armstrong, rides bicycles to glory, and Ms. Crow without a worry.
:)
I'll play both through the Boston Acoustics later while cleaning.
Best,
LowerManhattanite
LM,
Welcome.
What's a dashing urbanite such as yourself doin' hangin' out in this exurban comments section ;-)
Best,

"And his hair was perfect."
My favorite Zevon song -- though "Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner" comes a close second.
You know, there's actually a horror flick from the early 30's called "Werewolf of London", starring Henry Hull and a pre-Charlie-Chan Warner Oland as -- big surprise -- a sinister Asiatic. Not the greatest horror film of all time, but it has its moments.
Now, excuse me while I go get a big dish of beef chow mein.
Ahhwooooo...
