Spent most of the day at my (car) dealer mechanic's giving them money and reading these odd, thin, paper cassettes called "mag-a-zeens", and this caught my eye.

The article then cites a letter supporting the legislation by reliable corporate sock-puppet, Representative Chris Cox (R-Calif) and notes that financial, insurance and real estate industries contributed $49 million to campaigns in the last election cycle.

First, well I guess 9/11 Changed Everything...for the Little People. But fuckin’-A Poppy, the Road’s Gotta Roll! Sure we’re running deficits that would have made even Reagan blanch and say, “Dude, are you SURE you want to do this...?” Sure we’re peeing away our blood and treasure and reputation into the ravenous sands of Iraq, but Daddy needs tax cuts, and more tax cuts, and more tax cuts. And maybe a corporate bailout or two! And bonuses -- don't forget to lard on the bonuses. And BTW, those pensions we promised the Little People are starting to pinch a little bit around the waist, so howzabout y’all in the Federal Government pick up the tab for those too?

Which means we’ll make the Little People pay for the pensions we fucked them out of with their own tax money. And the extra-sweet part is that Red State fuckwits will continue to vote the corporate ciphers who turn around and screw them sideways back into office over and over again. Brilliant!

And for dessert, how about you bitch-slap the Little People around for our amusement? You know, the poor shits who break a leg or lose a job and try to declare bankruptcy when they can’t pay their bills?

And then maybe a nice glass of port, cut my Capital Gains taxes, and then see what you can do about gutting Social Security for those gay-loving, troop-hating fixed-income grandma’s out there.

And finally I think perhaps...a wee mint. Go ahead; it’s wafer thin.

Second, I didn’t know you could “slog” in minutes. And “slogging” anywhere in a major metro area during peak traffic at Rush Hour (which I assume the “as much as” part of this quote was meant to imply) for 45 minutes can mean six blocks, so boo fucking hoo.

Third, if you’re going to be a modern Robber Baron and you are traveling without three PDA’s, a wireless laptop, a GPS/Webcam/Browser/Porn-streamer AND a whole school of pilot fish valets and Personal Assistants who are jizz-themselves eager to obey your every whim, including sprint across town on their hands for you, or barber you pubic hairs to look like a fine, topiary garden...well then maybe you’re not cut out for the Robber Baron Business.

Fourth, all kidding aside, I for one welcome our New Corporate Overlords. Thank God (tm) that even the most microscopic needs of our Plutocrats are finally being given the lavish attention they deserve. If there is a Just Lord (tm) soon the cars of our Pasha-wealthy Evangelical Khans will be equipped with special flashing lights so that they can whiz on through stop signs and School and Hospital Zones without being discommoded by traffic regulations meant for Little People. The odd child or slow-moving cripple might lose a limb perhaps, but really isn't that just another Darwinian "goes to show ya" about who the Almighty (tm) favors and who doesn't stand in the Golden Light?

And rest assured, when the time comes to exercise their rights under new, Patriots Act 3.0 First Night privileges and take our women up to the Big House to slake their zesty, righteous perversions, they will be, on the whole, gentle, and beat them only if they don’t show proper deference; something as a good Christian man you should have already trained your wife to accept.

And if they impregnate her, well, considered yourself fortunate that bestowed upon your House will be honored by a child of the Master’s line. For is in not written that they are our superiors in every way?
