Mr. Moderate meet Rep. DeLay

Does self-immolation make my ass look fat? Posted by Hello

ABC News
WASHINGTON Apr 6, 2005 — House Republicans coupled expressions of concern with a public show of support for Rep. Tom DeLay on Wednesday as the embattled majority leader brushed aside fresh questions about his record.
Venting anger over attacks against DeLay and other targets, some members of the GOP rank and file criticized Democrats in unusually sharp terms.
One, Rep. Bob Ney of Ohio, was quoted by fellow Republicans at a closed-door meeting as calling the head of the House Democratic campaign committee a snake.
Ney disputed that. "I said he was a sneak," he said, referring to Rep. Rahm Emanuel, D-Ill.
...
With lawmakers back from a two-week break, Rep. Roy Blunt of Missouri, the GOP whip, told reporters, "I don't see any wavering of the support for the leader. I think a lot of members think he's taking arrows for all of us," he added.
At a news conference, other Republicans said Democratic attacks were an attempt to win control of the House in 2006.

Democrats "lack any agenda" for the nation's problems, said Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., Blunt's top deputy.

Hell, Dems don’t even believe in murdering judges! I ask you, what kind of Real American doesn’t want the judiciary hunted like wild boars when they dare to stand athwart the Divine Will of the Randall Terry Party?

Whereas the Republican agenda – the exciting, new 99%-Constitution-Freee Theocratic Order that the GOP has been test ballooning for the last little while – is becoming alarmingly clear. A few recent hits:

Women as receptacles of the Sacred Rightwing Jizz.

Special laws passed just for little old you! Yes, “you” you.

The continuing, Spinal Tap deathspiral of George Bush’s Social Security Loot-A-Palooza tour (Soon come the puppet shows).

The Pit and the Pendulum for naughty judges who refuse to rule the way Satan’s Archbishop “Fang” DeLay orders them to rule, and neglect to kiss the ass of the right God in the right way.

Deficit, national debt and national peonage to Chinese Bankers for the next three-generations.

Anyone up for National “Waste a Queer for Christ” week?

War against everyone...forever and ever and ever.

That’s it, GOP Moderates. Get in there closer. Closer... Snuggle up real tongue-in-his-bung tight to the House Majority Plague Vector. Get right up in his ass.

Was is Goethe, or Pink Floyd, who said:
“And when you lose control, you'll reap the harvest you have sown.

And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone.

And it's too late to lose the weight you used to need to throw around.

So have a good drown as you go down, alone, dragged down by the stone.”

Gotta love it when the other guy just insists on rabbit-punching himself into a coma.

Pink Floyd, from Animals (I don't recall the song, it's been a few years...). Do I get a prize?

I haven't had this much fun watching Rethugs since Nixon self-destructed.

US Blues,
It is kinda fun, isn't it? No Sam Ervin's around to really make it a proper circus, but still, I think if you have any memory at all -- even pre-natal -- of how far and fast Nixon fell, you feel a little bit less doomed.

And it was "Dogs". Winnowed many a crop on that album cover :-)

As Winston Wolf once said, "Let's not start sucking each other's dicks just yet....."

You know there's nothing (and I mean NOTHING) the Fundies like better than a human sacrifice. Hell, there's a monument to human sacrifice on every corner.

I have the disquieting feeling that DeLay doesn't want to be President....he has his eyes on that "Great Gig in the Sky......"
