Wouldn't bet the farm on Christie not being capable of responding to a dose of grooming to pick up his knuckles - Shrub may have seemed like a goober who wandered into the White House, but he was fucking Bertrand Russell compared to the public persona he had pre-1999.

If the Cooch could only pimp up a measly $3 million, it smells to me like many of his own bourgeois Teabag Jihad cadres were hanging him out to dry every bit as much as the RNC. RUH-ROH.

Could the inability to narrow their gender gap because of that little BAN ABORTUARIEZ: SAVE TEH FETAL PATRIOTS thing cripple the GOP much worse than their racism/ignorance toward people of colour? Stay tuned.

The stress of campaigning is going to make Christie snap frequently. Anne Romney couldn't even handle questions about her husband's tax returns. How's Christie going to handle made up stories, schoolteachers asking questions, exposing his record, interested journalists asking about said exposed record, etc. The president is supposed to be a dignitary. Christie would get exposed and laughed out of the primaries.

Bush came from a family of seasoned politicians. It's in his blood. He knew better than to yell at an elementary school teacher on camera.

Good morning, Mr. Glass.

Thanks for answering my question. Here's where I was going with "Republican West Wing"...

I think we can agree that a fictionalized non-comedic version of the ACTUAL Right wouldn't work. The Right would find it insulting. The Centrists would find it too "partisan". And if the Left wants f*cked up TV, it has Game of Thrones. So nobody would watch.

But, if you did David Brooks' "Whig Fan Fiction" version of "Republican West Wing", how fictional could the show be and survive a standard 7-season run? It's not just that you can't have people on the Right say what the Right actually says (gay marriage leads to bestiality, that sort of thing). It's that you have to construct a world where the Right's clearly disproven ideas aren't clearly disproven...

Increasingly lower taxes on the rich benefit everyone...

The 90+ percent of the scientific community who believe in climate change know less about climate science than Sean Hannity...

Making abortion illegal, or legal but impossible to get, makes women stop wanting to get abortions...

Having the poor rely on the emergency room for all their healthcare needs is both realistic and efficient...

We were doing just fine before the social safety net came into play...

Wouldn't you need that Borges "Tlön" approach you've mentioned just to make the whole thing work?

Enjoy your day.

Quick question, Mr. Glass.

I posted a lengthy comment here a few days ago (expanded on my Republican West Wing question from last Friday's podcast). Did it get swallowed by the Internet?
