Perry + Bush = Perish

Think the Right is not quite bugfuck enough to make exactly the same catastrophic choices all over again, this time amped to the stratosphere on Super Christian Soldier Serum?

Have you not been paying attention?

Bush got elected in part by pretending to not be a far-right extremist. Perry isn't even trying that tack.

What a picture! You are correct, of course, they are ALL the same. With the same old message of fear and loathing. One would think that the American public would catch on, but they never seem to. Yes, I have been paying attention, the problem is not enough of us ARE. Nero was a Republican.

Americans are watching American Idol or the ilk. they care less about anything else.

Perry is the cure for thinking. just don't think, it won't do any good anyway. after 30 years of non thinking dumb downing, why would anyone put 2 + 2 together to get 4. Americans would rather watch TV and be led. led by Beck, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Fox, Bush, Reagan, Boner, Rand Paul, Clinton, Santorum, that frothy mix, and bow down to the Angel of Darkness, Cheney.

Americans are content. They have been told they are Special. Americans are Exceptional. we have the American Dream. We are the Best of the Best.

and We own the World and all the Oil in it, every where!! We need to get those Brown people off our OIL!!!

if any of us fail, it is our own fault. Americans are confident and highly Rugged Individuals. Live and die in the Jungle. By the Laws of the Jungle Certainly aren't any other Laws being followed.

Darwinism for the Poor and Socialism for the Rich.
Americans voted for that for over 30 years now. it's about time the Bills get paid. Wall St. asks only to repaid what it is due. Everything that is America.

Perry will help lead us into the New Christian America we have been promised every time a Republican gets elected. When will they outlaw Abortion, Gays, Immigrants, Uppity Women, Muslims? maybe with Perry we might get "Nearer to our God," or else you are a traitorous, Commie Pinko Hippie Fag.

somethings never change. the 60's all over again in so many respects.

I can see the narrative now, "Obama, 4 years in is seen as cold, distant and out of touch with the average American, while Perry a moderate Texas Republican who espouses small town values and common sense solutions seems approachable and likeable in a way Obama hasn't managed"

Add the economy, add the fact that there are going to be some embittered liberals who just say "Fuck it" and stay home and drink on election day, and many many more who might vote, certainly won't be knocking on doors, giving money or otherwise fighting in the 'ground war', add in racism...

I'm not saying it's a lock. Obama has an average of 10 points on him in the polling.

But Obama's the incumbent, and the attack ads haven't ramped all the way up yet.

Stock up on guns, liquor and ammunition is my advice. But honestly, that's pretty much my default response.

Rick Perry: "W for Dummies"

alise said...

Trust me, we who live in Texas know "Good Hair" Perry only too well. The last thing we need is Perry as president. Does anyone remember the last time we elected a Texas governor from Texas? How well did that work out? Rick Perry is W squared to the 10th power, with that old time religion thrown in for good measure. I could give you the dismal and embarrassing stats that our illustrious governor has foisted on us, but really, anyone paying attention would know them.

On a selfish note, we here in Texas would at last be rid of him. But I wouldn't wish Perry on my worst enemy. And remember folks, this man has NEVER lost an election. Don't sell him short, he's very politically savvy. He's also a terrifying prospect and just like the last time we had a Texas governor throw his hat in the ring, some very influential people sure do want to see him win.

Given what he's done for Texas, that would be the final nail in our coffin.

Timothy Egan has a very instructive op-ed on Rick "Good Hair" Perry:

As for God not answering his prayers, it could be because Rick Perry just might be the Anti-Christ.
