They are dead to me. Every one of them who urged him to drop out. Publicly or in private.

He proved he was the right President at the right time. Best President of my lifetime. He did not deserve this ending.

But he made the most of not only his term, but his exit. I love Kamala, but I know SHE didn't urge him to drop out.

Biden made sure the next President will be a Democrat, which would have happened no matter how badly his debate went.

"POP POP POP

Sorry... AHEMMMHMMMHEMM."

I felt that throat-clear so hard. Once we get over 50, the damn Check Engine light just stays on. Don't get me started on the knees. (Years of taekwondo starting in 1980 probably didn't help.)

Thanks for all y'all do. For whatever it's worth, I too felt sick at heart and stomach on Sunday morning. And wrathful. Like you, I'm not going to let this slide or ever forget it. There may be a good outcome (Ceiling Cat willing) at the end of the day, but the simple and unavoidable fact that rich people strolled onto the public stage and casually upended the normal order of election politics - and in "rich people" I include the NYT.

This for me is probably the ugliest era of US politics I've lived through - and I've seen the 2000 SC GOP primary, the Obama years, and the unbearably vicious internecine 2015-16 Democratic primary. Any pretense that the will of the people has functional primacy in our politics just got shat on and flushed.

Again, thanks for all you do. You are seen and appreciated.

It is true because I heard it on the Pro left podcast. That DG isBG's Latte boy who nobody really knows and is insignificant if involved in an investigation that leads to an indictment.
Sorry I don't read the opinion writers you discussed.
They have no influence on my forming opinion on candidates I choose.
I am familiar with their past writings and found they have little info to offer to include in my decision making in these matters.
I doubt MAGA reads them to tell the trurh
But here is the thing. Their centrist suggestions means Kamala Harris should not be so hardened like Biden on those tax cuts that come up in 2025. That is it.
Let me know when they give Trump advice to be more moderate and centrist. You know, instead of giving a harsh black and white choice between eaten by a shark or electrocuted by the batteries. )Which Trump is in favor of electric energy over gas and big oil).
Trump should provide a third option. Perhaps the third option is calling for rescue and grabbing hold of the ladder hanging from the rescue helicopter. Because your dementia was not that bad enough to make you unaware you were sinking and calling for help.

We on the left Left have always regarded Law Day as a thinly veiled right wing attack on the international popularity of the worker's holiday, May Day.
