Our status as blue dots in this here red portion of big blue California was pointed out to us again on the fourth of July while attending a "whoop-de-do" up at our neighbor Terry's house. All in all, a wonderful event with neighbors, dinner, and live music performed by some of those neighbors. At that event, we found out that our cat has been terrorizing one of our neighbors up the hill from us. We brought a large watermelon that the entire gathering couldn't quite finish, and when I protested to Annette that as a former motocross racer, a "whoop-de-do" will always mean a large bump in a racetrack, she said "Oh, honey, I know that, where did you race?"
"All over Northern California and parts of Southern Oregon. District 36!"
To which she replied: "The Southland, district 37!"
(Those are references to the American Motorcycle Association's regional competition areas)
Anyway, they were very kind and gracious to us and as I was using the bathroom, I noticed the Trump paraphernalia in the kitchen...
Not too much of a surprise, Terry often wears an NRA hat, but still kind of jarring.
I'm glad your governor is actually governing. That's getting kinda rare in these here United States of America. Our governor is sort of freaking out about the recall we are voting on in September, and hasn't managed to sign the budget quite yet, which is unfortunate because part of that budget sitting on his desk is a $600 covid relief payment that we could really use about now.
Word is that the money will start flowing around September, which is fine, as we will have car registration to pay about then, and we don't know whether or not that includes a smog check this time...
I think that once he attained the presidency, LBJ sort of got off on shitting on the prim, proper, and uptight world that he had to negotiate to function as a senator with such devastating effectiveness.
Thank you again for the podcast. Aside from the news about our marauding beast of a cat, we had the excitement of a black bear sighting just up the road, and a 5.9 earthquake a couple of days ago to shake up the normally pleasantly boring nature of living up here.
And the damn heat wave. 100 degrees outside right now. Ten degrees hotter down the hill in Oakhurst.
We're all praying that nothing catches on fire, because it's so damn dry that any little fire will blow up and take out the whole place.

How the press pushed Obama to, "Have a drink with McConnell" and that would solve everything.

So what if I ask you DG. Why don't you have a drink with David Brooks?

No, not drink because you been reading too much of Brooks' scribblings.

Not scotch, nor Acapulco Gold , No tab of LSD or billionaire grade cocaine and no Rush Oxycodone is going to help understand him.

Understanding how he exists is an entirely different issue.

Understanding the wealth that funds the sewage that emits from their socialized paid pets of deceit and misinformation. I mean it doesn't reach the level of entertainment to me.

On the other hand Kevin the minority House Leader of the Dirt bag society Taliban parity. Has himself a 2022 challenger.

Kevin has another problem of his own. Does Trump really care to become House speaker if the GOP takes the house. There is enough GOP house members to wage a chance for the Trump to be House Speaker.

Because, As I have always said,

Trump is the greatest and smartest republican ever in the history of the world. There will never be another republican as Trump worth supporting. Once they tasted the heroin laced Trump Kool Aid. There is no going back or changing who they worship. Ask Jim Jones. Call him by séance.
