Someone said that the Republicans had gone from being a Patriotic party with a Treasonous caucus to a Treason party with a Patriotic caucus.
This is clearly true - the only real question is when the tipping point came. I can't quite decide of their acceptance of Sarah Palin as a VP candidate was before or after.
My fervent hope is that every f'ing Republican, especially the politicians, lives their lives without a second thought of all the shitty things they've believed, the inhumane policies they supported, all the irrational and sociopathic thoughts they've had until one day, they find themselves on their death bed and as they find their life leaving them, the realization that they've been monumentally wrong their entire existence becomes crystal clear.
There was no tipping point. It's been one long reverse mortgage of their souls, a dollop of hate for gays here (neglect during AIDS, Don't ask Don't Tell, DOMA), a little control and subservience of women there (every state level anti-abortion bill ever, the long primal scream of Hillary hatred from Bill's presidency to Benghazi), daily brutalization of blacks and hispanics. Little monthly payments of hate to own the tattered remnants of their miserable excuses for souls.
Democrats: Trump must be held accountable for instigating (and most likely planning) the attack on the Capitol on January 6th, 2021. That's why he has been impeached a second time and will be put on trial a second time. Oh, and no, President Biden will not pardon Trump and Biden's DOJ is going to go after the fucker.
GOP: Noooo! We gotta move on! We can't impeach him (even though what Trump did was sedition), this isn't that bad (Hillary Clinton says, "Benghazi, motherfuckers?" while Bill Clinton rolls his eyes and says, "A damned blowjob was supposedly the worst crime ever...), this will split the country! And yes, we let Trump get away with so much but, but, but....
Mainstream media/Purists: Oh well, both parties are the same, Joe Biden has a fancy Rolex and thus is an elitist and not a man of the people, and it should be $25 an hour, not $15, even though we were for it a few months ago during the campaign!
