Regarding reopening the schools: If your daughters "need" to go back to school, they're not nearly as intelligent as Blue Gal has been touting them to be. I don't put reopening the schools or being able to watch new organized sports on anywhere near the same plateau as food, clothing, and shelter. I like going to the movies, but I can forgo that activity for the rest of my days if it decreases my risk of contracting a highly contagious disease that, even if it doesn't kill me, could damage my lungs for life. The discussion shouldn't be how to accommodate Trump's demands—the response of parents and teachers alike should be "No, we're not putting our children at risk on your say-so."

Yeah, about the MoCA: They gave me that thing a few times when In was in rehab from my stroke, and it's so easy that I literally didn't know I was taking any kind of test until I recognized parts of it from recent media coverage. I thought it was just some stuff that my speech pathologist was having me do to see whether my speech functions were impaired by the stroke (they were at first, but with the therapists help, I got over it).
And it was. And they call it the Montreal Cognitive Assessment.
And that made me wonder about the visit to Walter Reed he did back in November, but not enough to watch video of him long enough to look for telltale stroke symptoms, because fuck him. I've heard more from and about him than is good for me already.
Ever since they found covid in the wastewater up here, I've noticed a significant increase in mask usage.
So I kind of wonder who, exactly, the Republicans believe those 30 million people who just lost a big chunk of their income on the same damn weekend that the eviction moratorium expired will vote for in November?
Thank you again for the podcast, and if they do pass out another round of apocalypse money, I'll be sure to fire up that Paypal account a second time and get some of it to you.
