There is a Club: David Sirota Edition

Contrary to the grim reports we've all heard about newsrooms being gutted and newspapers shuttering, the news business is apparently faced with such a chronic labor shortage that anybody can walk in off the street and snag one a' them journalism jobs.

Sirota.  Boy, I don't know.

You should talk about David Sirota more on The Professional Left. I haven't missed an episode in years and I honestly don't recognize the name.

There IS a club.

And just as you will never be tweet that you're "psyched"(??!) to be "(re)joining" _________ (insert name media outlet) as their token purity/concern troll/"columnist", you will also never receive the club card, club blazer, club discount, or club sinecure.

But you will also not have to suffer the slings and arrows of The Tyranny Of Decorum.

There IS a club. You are not in it.

YAAAAAAAAYYYY!!! Job well done, mate!

David was accidentally a little self-reflective here: "The spectacle was more confirmation that whatever resistance exists (in the nation’s capital), it is so often performance art, rather than anything real."

The Taibbi- Greenwald - Sirota crowd is definitely a brand.

While in the medical industry,
I am pleased to announce Doctor Bot'popular is joining our medical team here at Prosperity Gospel General Hospital.
We are excited as the Doctor brings with him his long enough list of Bot patients which gives promise to future profits.
Let us all welcome Doctor Bot' Popular.

Big rounds of electronic played applause..................

I had the disappointing experience of watching a recent "Useful Idiots" interview with Jimmy Dore. I'm a fan of Taibbi generally. He is thoughtful and smart about his opinions and supports them well. Dore is a scorched earth flame thrower who has nothing productive to offer other than emotional criticisms of anything and everyone that doesn't involve wholesale overthrow of the system at all times. He doesn't have a firm grasp of the issues. Taibbi who knows better, just sat there and let Dore blather at full volume for an hour without push back. It was pathetic.

And what's he come back with? A story about the evil corporate Dems trying to destroy the true bastion of the Dem Party, the Chapo Trap House progressives!

Hey, David, why does it seem like you guys don't really care all that much about the ACTUAL FASCISTS in the White House, but you do care immensely about fighting with the only ones trying to stop it? It's almost like the bunch of you CTH progressives would prefer to be the token opponents in a Putin-style corporocracy...

It's the sound editor's fault. David Sirota resigned from political writing in 2009 and I never got over it. Blogwhore alert! https://bgalrstate.blogspot.com/2009/05/just-got-letter-of-resignation.html
