I don't know if this makes me a weird dude or not, but maybe my favorite parts of the video of Bill Clinton speaking at the service for Aretha were the shots of Hillary with a big ol' smile on her face.
And the transcendent singing of the Clark sisters.
Let's go to church, indeed.

Thanks again for the podcast. I say it could be repackaged as "Sanity during the apocalypse 101", though I don't know whether that would help it any...

There is no doubt McCain was a mixed bag.

The liberal restrained inside finding ways to burst out of the republican suit he chose some time ago for reasons unknown today.

After his involvement in the Keating 5. What found its way out of McCain's soul? Liberal campaign finance reform.

How the Libtard got free and ran amok until captured and re shackled. McCain's inner liberal fought GW Bush on his war and on his torture.

The republican McCain voted against the A.C.A. as his liberal in the dungeon knew it was passing.
Only to vote to not repeal the A.C.A. later. Sure, it could have been the geezer being pissed at Trump. But his republican ideology did not rule his vote siding with Democrats. A vote McCain knew gave emboldened bravery and gave cover) to Sens. Collins and Murkowsky.

During campaign, After his VP Palin had just left a city. McCain rolled in behind. Only to correct a woman that called Obama an Arab and untrustworthy. Revved up by Palin. "No, No ma'am. He id a good man and I just have differing views. Why I am running.

What many called a Maverick. I call a inner liberal finding it's way out to the souls's surface.

I have heard many recounting stories of McCain since his passing. Which included his angry old guy barking sentiment. This story of meeting McCain for the very first time.

Cody Keenan was a 27 yr. old Senate intern waiting for the elevator at the Capitol Bldg. The elevator doors open and 3 senators were already on and were talking . They stopped , and Cory said he would catch the elevator the next round (which was protocol for interns).
McCain said; No,no hop on. Which Cory did. As the elevator doors shut, They introduced themselves.
McCain asked Cory, "who do you work for"?

Cory responded, "Sen. Ted Kennedy, sir.

McCain said, " He's a good man. We would We would probably be lost without him".

{ The other senator scoffed in disgust at what McCain said of Kennedy. Getting off abruptly at the next floor.}

While that Sen. was walking off and still in voice range.

McCain said, (in a raised voice), "Don't mind him son, he's an asshole".

I think most people decided how they felt when his death was announced.

I have no elevator stories of my own.

I do know, McCain stood pat with McConnel and his lock steep GOP over Obama's SCOTUS Nominee. Went along with dumping the filibuster, proceeded to vote for the ramming of the didlo (Gorsuch) up the ScOTUS Rectum.

Was there one more , "thumbs down vote" for Trump on McCain's living hand?
