That Sack of Tiffany Baubles That Newt Gingrich Allegedly Used...

...to buy his lying, blaspheming, racist, narcissistic, idolatrous, adulterous,  twice-divorced ass a seat in the first pew of the American Catholic Church continues to pay big dividends now that he serves the whims of a man every bit as lying, blaspheming, racist, narcissistic, idolatrous, adulterous and twice-divorced as he is.
Since the Gingrich Rules are about to go international, I wonder if Pope Francis* will ask Callista Gingrich some hard questions about her husband's despicable remarks on a whole range of subjects starting with the "Ground Zero" Mosque?

Because our vaunted American Fourth Estate sure as shit never did (emphasis added):
Newt compares mosque to Nazis

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on Monday compared the mosque planned to go up blocks away from ground zero in New York to Nazis protesting next to the Holocaust museum.

Gingrich highlighted the fact that New York Democratic Gov. David Paterson and numerous others have proposed alternative locations for the mosque in arguing that the leaders of the cultural center are “radical Islamists” who want to prove that “they can build a mosque next to a place where 3,000 Americans were killed by Islamists.”

“That's why they won't accept any other offer,” he said during an interview on Fox News's "Fox & Friends."
Gingrich then declared that if the mosque is indeed being built as a symbol, which its leaders have repeatedly denied, New York authorities have every right to prevent it from being built.

“We ought to be honest about the fact that we have a right and this happens all the time in America,” he said.

“Nazis don't have the right to put up a sign next to the Holocaust museum in Washington,” Gingrich insisted, speaking of the museum where just a year ago a guard was killed by a white supremacist trying to enter the building with a gun.
...
Hail Hydra, baby.

*Thanks for the catch

Does the Vatican have any say in this matter?

He won't do it, but I wish Pope Frank would refuse to recognize this appointment, or at least ban the serial-liar spouse from Vatican City . . . .

Callista's hairdo is no longer perfectly spherical. I blame it on the Trump administration...

I've been quite impressed with this pope, and am confident he is laughing as hard as I am.

Oh, and about the Royal Baby making this irony-shattering appointment?

Here is a Dutch TV program (don't, worry, it’s in English) laying out how he is SO MUCH dirtier than even you thought and just how dirty the money involved is (Russian mafia?).
Wow! Just WOW!
Of course, the big question is why this stuff isn’t being reported in the US (cough, cough).

My favorite part is the intelligence guy whose curiosity was piqued early on by why Trump kept saying such nice things about Putin and the Russians and then he realized, “If you’re a gambling addict and you owe a lot of money, you don’t badmouth your bookie."

Be sure and watch the 2nd part, "King of Diamonds”, for even more international kleptocrat weirdness involving Chinese, Africans, North Korea, Israelis, and, of course, the Russians and Trump. I assume at this point John le Carré is just going to hang it up as farce has overtaken both fiction and reality.

By the time this thing runs its course, it’s going to end up making Watergate look like a harmless pie fight.

Sorry, but my officious twit function just snapped on again. Unless you were doing it for satiric reasons, the Pope's name is Francis I, after one of the original Jesuits, Francis Xavier, not Frances.

I grant you it would be something if he refused her credentials on account of her being married to a divorced person, officially still a no-no within the Catholic Church, unless said divorced person had additionally received an annulment of said marriage from the church. Of course, that only applies if the marriage took place in the Catholic Church, so Newt may be in the clear that way. I've never really cared enough about the particulars of the nuptials of this "lying, blaspheming, racist, narcissistic, idolatrous, adulterous, twice-divorced ass" to discover if either took place within, and, hence, was sanctioned by, the Catholic Church.

I was going to pass this news on to BG and you, but I figured you'd see it soon enough.

So does this mean Callista can stay clear of her lovely husband for long stretches? Or that he'll be out of the country and less available for Sunday political chatter?

And if someone sprays Newt with holy water, will he melt?
