Not to exonerate the callousness of the Republican Party, but it felt like the media egged them on to do it. Except for a day or two between Jimmy Kimmel's comment about his son and the House passing the bill, all the coverage I've heard has focused on the ineptitude of the Republicans to repeal the ACA, not the effect that the repeal would have on people or (Heaven forbid!) that citizens voicing their concerns to their elected representatives in a republic might have an effect on their vote. Another reason why MSNBC's ads bragging that they won't back down from the "hard questions" or that they're referee anything are almost laughable and the press' protestations the president has an obligation to go through them since they're the voice of the people elicit an eye roll from me.

I didn't think the singing was inappropriate, I'm just raging for a much livelier song to be sung late in 2018...
