Matthew Dowd Remains a Hilariously Ridiculous Person

Turns out Deception ain't just an island in the Antarctic.

It is genuinely laugh-from-the-gut funny that ABC's chief political analyst does not have the slightest fucking clue that he is talking about himself.

That the single greatest enabler of the madness, sedition and malignant ignorance of the GOP is the Big Lie of Both Sides Do It on which Mr. Dowd has built his entire post-Dubya career.

And that -- like every other junkie in pathological denial of their addiction -- Mr. Dowd would rather chew his own arm off than admit this simple fact that stares him in the face every god damn day.

Because Suckerville ain't just a town in Maine.

*Having just been told about Mr. Dowd's family history, I am deeply sorry for his losses.  Addiction* runs in my family as well and and I have nothing but sympathy for those whose lives have been fractured by it.  That said, the willful blindness and denialism of people like Mr. Dowd is the crutch which props up everything in politics they claim to deplore.

*Thanks for the catch!

I'd have sympathy for him if he'd make the connection between the addictive personalities in his family, who I gather killed themselves, and his addiction, which is killing this nation, and start showing signs of genuine repentance. Until then, I leave him with the words of Maj. Benson Winifred Payne: "You want sympathy, look in the dictionary between 'shit' and 'syphilis'!"

Addition runs in my family, too. We don't do it well, but... :)

I notice that the two folks commenting share my own OT (officious twit) reaction to your typo. I would humbly suggest that, in this case, you go back and make a correction. unless you are running a test to discover the OTQ (officious twit quotient) of your fans, in which case, as Ms. Emily Latella would say, "Never Mind."

I will probably be misquoting Lewis Caroll, but here goes: "Ambition, Distraction, Uglification and Derision."

Since we now have a "drug problem" that is rampant among white people, our lawmakers and even our law enforcement officials are at last willing to categorize the drug use as something other than a criminal offense, or while still categorizing it as a criminal offense, which clogs up our local jail and the common pleas courts here in Hamilton County, they are willing to do something other than incarcerate the user/addict, which is a step in the right direction. Of course, the more people who have insurance (now that insurance must include coverage for mental health care) the easier it should be for addicts to seek treatment, although, of course, with high deductible policies, that is unlikely to happen, until the becomes a "court ordered" addiction treatment or a jail term.
