Putting Food On The Hand Of The Dog That Won't Get Fooled Again

The worst president in modern American history is upset that someone other than a Bush Crime Family retainer has figured out the Republican party's wingnut juggernaut launch codes (h/t Blue Gal):
'I just don't like that guy,' the former president tells donors.

Inside a sleek Denver condominium, George W. Bush let a hundred donors to his brother’s campaign in on a secret. Of all the rival Republican candidates, there is one who gets under the former president’s skin, whom he views as perhaps Jeb Bush’s most serious rival for the party’s nomination.

It isn’t Donald Trump, whose withering insults have sought to make Jeb pay a political price for his brother’s presidency. It isn’t Marco Rubio, Jeb’s former understudy who now poses a serious threat to his establishment support.

It’s George W. Bush’s former employee — Ted Cruz.

“I just don’t like the guy,” Bush said Sunday night, according to conversations with more than half a dozen donors who attended the event.

One donor in the room said the former president had been offering mostly anodyne accounts of how the Bush family network views the current campaign and charming off-the-cuff jokes, until he launched into Cruz.

“I was like, ‘Holy sh-t, did he just say that?’” the donor said. “I remember looking around and seeing that other people were also looking around surprised.”
...
Trump is a running a chain saw right though the guts of the ruins of the GOP.

The Many Fiascos of George W. Bush are news once again.

And the brain-caste of the freak show really believe that some as-yet undiscovered Clinton email will turn all of it around.

Stick a fork in Jeb, he's done.

I had assumed that !Jeb!'s money and spy-agency connections would get him the inside track to the nomination--that if the money alone wasn't enough, Daddy Bush's old subordinates in the CIA would dig up some dirt on The Donald, forcing The Donald to withdraw from the race.

Now I begin to wonder if Mr. Taylor is correct.

I cannot wait for a "lips shit slip up".
Can somebody bring clarification to who is responsible for the title of this post?

Was it Rep. Kevin McCarthy or GW Bush?

Putting Food On The Hand Of The Dog That Won't Get Fooled Again...

As in the "highlander" of the GOP.
--- THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE --- (I hope)

I made it up out of "biting the had that feed you" + a couple of old Bushisms

Putting food on our families, I had forgotten that one.

"They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

Compelling as the arguments are for Shrub as the worst president in history, I'm not willing to let the Alzheimer's patient who used the constitution for toilet paper off the hook so easy. I believe the puppet masters that controlled Raygun were the most evil and cynical group ever to operate in the White House. Without their existence there would have been no Bush/Cheney.

My wife thinks that Donald Trump is a Poe who's trying to tank the party from within.

Good for him, if true.

Funny how he who should not be named is now front the center in this election.

And, like in 2000 with GWB, the media is waiting for a "Compassionate Conservative" moment when they can ignore Republican candidate policy platform details (and the liberals screaming that they would be a disaster) and spend remaining run up to next November bashing the Democratic Candidate and agreeing with each other that...at its core...American is fundamentally a conservative nation.

I agree with keith gargus. The affable dolt with early onset Alzheimer's who could take direction (learned how in Hollywood) and convincingly read the 3x5 cards put in front of him made The Manchurian Candidate look like a romantic comedy.

Hey Driftglass

Thanks for the exlanation of the title.

Please be careful combining GOP'er words.

I remember some of the warnings from the MOM.
like,
Don't sit so close to the TV.

You keep crossing your eyes and one day they are going to get stuck like
that.

All I'm saying is, be careful, A liberal mind is a terrible thing to lose.

Chimpy doesn't like him and said so publicly? That's the best endorsement he's had yet.
