These people used to be smart.
Then they let themselves start reading/listening to/watching the wingnut media without their mental deflector shields turned up to 11.
Now they spew the same old wingnut talking point about the truth that the Dems used to be the party of white supremacy, ignoring the plain fact that the Dems abandoned that title and the GOP picked it up (the "Southern Strategy").
