Lost in Translation

Mark Latimer of the Daily Beast asks the musical question:
"How did Republicans become the party of reflexive, perpetual war?"

The short answer is, of course, "One fucking step at a time, Mr. Latimer, stomping gleefully right over the people who were trying to warn them that they were marching into Hell. Because once being lied to and being horribly wrong about everything stopped mattering to the Base, it was all over."

But I think I see Mr. Latimer's larger problem: he lacks the proper translation protocol.

See how, when you ask the question correctly...
"How did a party utterly dominated by gun-fetishists, militant American exceptionalists, xenophobes, scary-brown-people-phobes, Neocon imperialists, Neo-Crusader End Times dominionists, obsessive flag-humpers, Likudniks, former and future oil industry executives, transnational corporations, weapons manufacturers and Fox News become the party of reflexive, perpetual war?"

...it practically answers itself?

You could've also included "anti-science 'Intelligent Design' Lysenkoists" in that list.

Debatable: Faith really can move mountains. Proven: GIGO also applies to human brains.

When members of your team are seriously speculating as to whether the Theory Of Relativity is a liberal mind-control tool, perhaps it's time to back away from the crack-pipe & try some oxygen instead.
