The Last Time a Democratic President Had To Go Abroad To Clean Up a Republican President's Disasters...

...the Right absolutely lost it's mind.  It was hysterics over "Obama's Apology Tour" on every Conservative propaganda outlet 24/7/365.

Here is unreconstructed Iraq War Criminal Karl Rove in the Wall Street Journal, just three months after President Obama was inaugurated.
The President's Apology Tour
Great leaders aren't defined by consensus.

President Barack Obama has finished the second leg of his international confession tour. In less than 100 days, he has apologized on three continents for what he views as the sins of America and his predecessors...
Now consider that the work President Obama had to do to mend fences with the rest of the civilized world (while the entire GOP rallied to sabotage every move tried to make) was nothing -- was a fist bump from a friend -- compared to the massive job of international reputation reclamation that the next Democratic president has in store for them after the Trump crime syndicate is driven from office.

Here are a few examples.

From the NYT:
Abandoned by U.S. in Syria, Kurds Find New Ally in American Foe
Under fire by Turkish forces, the militia that battled ISIS threw in its lot with Syria’s Russian-backed government.
From CBS:
Russian troops take command of U.S. airbase in northern Syria

Northern Syria — Russian troops have taken command of a U.S. airbase in northern Syria — and without firing a shot. Russian state media showed commandos staging what looked like a military invasion.

Choppers descending onto the dusty runway, troops taking up combat positions. The Russians are playing up the takeover of the Kobani airfield as a victory...
From Scientific American:
Formal U.S. Withdrawal from Paris Climate Agreement Looms

The Trump administration is expected to notify the U.N. on Nov. 4, leaving the pact a year later, after the U.S. election
From Rolling Stone:
Trump Replies ‘See You Soon’ After Kim Jong-un Calls for Biden to Be ‘Beaten to Death With a Stick’
Trump seems to respect the violence Kim brings, even against his own people

On Sunday, President Donald Trump took a quick Twitter break from trying to intimidate those who’ve testified during the impeachment inquiry to once again say friendly things to his favorite pen pal, North Korean tyrant Kim Jong-un. Only this time, it was in response to Kim calling for the death of Joe Biden...
Given the fact that the last two Republican presidents have been the worst two presidents in American history, and given the fact that the Republican party has proven utterly incapable of purging itself of its ferocious appetite for electing monsters, there is no way the rest of the world should begin to trust us again until after this generation of Republicans is safely in the grave, and the party machinery itself has been smashed beyond repair.

This time a apology tour won't cut it. Instead the next President will have to demonstrate that their has been a regime change in America. And that can only be proven by putting the old regime on trial and holding them accountable for their crimes - in public.

No moving on - basically Nuremberg trials [forgive the Godwin] to remove and punish collaborators and enablers and revel that "it wasn't the true character of America on display". Otherwise any attempt at treaty negotiations in the future will have the shadow of America's behaviour under Trump hanging over them.

Effectively do to the GOP and FOX News and co what the fevered dreams of Trump's base imagine they were going to do to the Dems and libtards.
Lock them up.

Further, add a provision for Nuremberg 'procedures' to retroactively process past and current sympathizers and adherents of Confederate, Nazi, and Klan positions, policies, and plans. I thought leniency was the way. Now I see I (we) were mistaken. They are going to finish killing the Constitution and then the rest of us that do not welcome their leadership vision for the USA.

Damn right, Casbott. The Dems (and media) seem to learn nothing from recent history. LBJ let Nixon get away with sabotaging the Paris Peace Talks. Did Tricky Dick calm down for getting away with that? Hell no, see Watergate. Ford Pardons Nixon. Four years later Saint Ronnie gives Iran's ayatollahs anti-tank missiles to delay releasing the hostages, and win election in 1980. And uses the money to secretly fund fascists in Central America. Bush the First pardons everyone. Bush the Second gets installed by the Supreme Court stopping the Florida recount, sleeps through 9/11, cuts taxes and makes the SC even more radical. Then we have tRump. Christ, there hasn't been a decent Republican president since Ike, maybe all the way back to Teddy Roosevelt.

If we don't punish them for their crimes (political, moral, legal) Repubs will just come back 4yr, 8yr later and do it again.

We just keep giving the Drunkards the keys to the car. Can someone write this down this time so people might be able to look back and read what happened all the other times we gave the drunkard the keys.
Our insurance goes up, we have no car for a while and all those lawyer costs.

* Watched the D debate.
DG, I know you've stated that you would vote for any democratic candidate. No matter who verses Trump.
I too found my desperate erroneous voting zone and felt the same way.

-- I hope, that this will not be put to the test by Tulsi Gabbard.
