Professional Conservative lunatic Ms. Jennifer Rubin (one of the many neocon throw-pillows with which Fred Hiatt decorates the op-ed page of the Washington Post) has a bone to pick with Professional Conservative lunatic and inexplicably NBC starting player, Hugh Hewitt.
Which itself is delightful because what's more fun that hearing Conservative lunatic mommy and daddy screaming at each other through the wall?
But what makes it extra special is how Ms. Rubin had to go deep diving into the middle of worst foreign policy debacle in modern American history -- a disaster that virtually every other Conservative is desperate to forget, but which she ecstatically endorsed and which only she and nine other refugees from the Project for a New American Century still stand by -- to find the perfect metaphor for Mr. Hewitt's heresies:
Baghdad Bob of the weekScene: Conservative Brain (Interior)

This week there was one standout for “Baghdad Bob,” our Republican of the week who most embarrassed himself in shameful spinning and toadying to Donald Trump.
Hugh Hewitt, in an “interview” worthy of Sean Hannity, tried to save Trump from himself during a radio interview, but to no avail...
Baghdad Bob? Why does that name sound so familiar? Oh, yeah! I remember. Hahaha! Jeez, that guy was the lying asshole of the century wasn't he? Hey, does anyone remember what were we doing in Baghdad anywa...?You say "Baghdad Bob". I say "Ari Fleischer". See how much fun we can have with Operation Enduring Free Association?
Oh shit... Thanks a lot J-Rub!
Next up: Is Donald Trump Sean Hannity's Katrina?

Hewitt was harshing the Yams "sarcasm", Jennifer. Everybody knows that.
Hewitt was just demonstrating his inability to understand the Donald's Yuuuuge and screaminly hilarious and totally obvious sense of "humor," J-Rub. Can't ya take a joke? Have pity for the afflicted.
You better watch what you say... about Teapublicans that is, anything and everything is fair game towards Democrats.
SpongeSean Squarehead is his own ongoing disaster Katrina (unless you meant Trump's own bizarro Katrina Pearson, which would also fit). Squarehead is an embarrassment to my people as is O'Reilly. There's a real streak of Irish-Americans that are real political assholes. Also in the police. I'm here to say there's far more that are not. Sigh.
Jimbo: I've been saying that too. Billo and Lumpy give Irish people a bad name, like we really needed them for that...

Ugh, Ari Fleisher. There's a name I'd hoped to never hear again. He got me so riled up, obviously lying his ass off with that 'would _I_ lie to you?' look on his face. Every day, that scumbag was on t.v. lying his ass off. Rubin is also evil. She's smart enough to know how to personally navigate this, maintaining her rank within the Inner Party. Hewitt is useful for continuously obfuscating with 'both sides', but Rubin is more valuable, she really gives shine to the lie, polishes it up good and purdy. She's not a true believer, she knows what the truth is, which is what makes her so deadly. Because on the surface she is able to make as if she were acting in earnest, and her arguments take a little to untangle, which is impossible on a panel show. More specifically to this case, she helps give the party plausible deniability, and scapegoats trump as the outlier; she and Hewitt do a version of bad cop, good cop.
I compared that interview to a warped version of Who wants to be a Billionaire's phone a friend lifeline. Hewitt kept calling, but Trump just kept hanging up.

So true, Tip O'Neill, Daniel Patrick Moynihan and the Kennedy's all come to mind. And I am so stealing Spongesean Squarehead. Kudos and multiple likes
