Big Red Todd and the Monsters

This -- the one on the left -- is Warner Todd Huston.

Warner runs a B-grade, Breitbart bullshit outlet mall in Chicago: a sort of low-level crackpot dealer forever begging for the approval of his higher-ups by loyally slinging whatever batshit rock is on special this week.

All week, every week, Byzantine conspiracies and trivial news tidbits inflated into Dire, Liberty-Threatening Horrors cook off and go "bang" over at Publius Forum like touchy old sticks of dynamite in a blast furnace.

Union Thugs? ACORN Conspiracies? Quivering, apology-tour O-Bummer rage?

Warner has 'em all, and priced to move (I last saw Warner in-person as he and John Fund skulked the halls of Netroots Nation trying to glean clues about the next step in the Great Liberal Conspiracy by copying down the meeting agendas posted outside the breakout rooms.)

Regular readers know that I drop by my man Warner's sad little gibber factory every now and then because I have found it to be an absolutely reliable indicator of the wingnut mind day-in/day-out: a regular a lunatic pop-up Butterball thermometer.

And here are Warner's various takes on the Very Important Events that took place during the week of the re-election of President Barack Obama.

Like evil Liberal teevee shows:
CBS ‘The Good Wife’ Pushes Global Warming, Anti-Tea Party Themes
...
The Good Wife is supposed to be set in Chicago, but all the writing and sensibilities are better suited for a New York or Los Angeles setting.
Another attack on conservatives came last year when an episode portrayed Tea Partiers as racists and domestic terrorists.
Curiously, as the show is touting anti-war sentiments, praising Occupy Wall Street and slamming Tea Party members, the show has yet to note all the law breaking, the rapes, the property destruction, and general violence of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
And the Death of America:
Due to the re-election of Barack Hussein Obama, the United States is officially a failed experiment. In fact, his election in the first place in 2008 signaled the end.

...
Oh, Barack Obama isn’t the cause of America’s failure. But he is the ultimate result. He is the result of a citizenry that knows nothing about its own country. He is the result of citizens that no longer care about their country and only care about themselves.
The intractable evil of us Dim-O-Craps:
...
Barack Obama is the ultimate example of how anti-American the Democrat Party is today.
The Democrats oppose nearly every single truly American principle that the founders gave us.
Democrats oppose the supremacy of the U.S. Constitution
Democrats oppose personal responsibility
Democrats oppose free speech
Democrats oppose the Second Amendment
Democrats oppose morality and religion
Democrats oppose the rule of law and wish instead to rule by fiat
Democrats oppose the sanctity of life
Democrats oppose education and instead support indoctrination
Democrats oppose business
Democrats oppose liberty and freedom and support totalitarianism
Democrats oppose sovereignty and support international rule
Democrats oppose our national security
In short, Democrats think the United States is a cancer on humanity and they wish to damage it permanently.
...
One last thing. There can be no compromise with Democrats. They aren’t just wrong on a few things. They are wrong on everything. And they aren’t just wrong they are evil. They intend the destruction of the USA. They are almost finished with their task. Compromise with Democrats is a traitor’s act.
Andrew Breitbart was right. It must be war.
In a discussion with former Florida Governor Charlie Crist, Matthews showed his exasperation with the early voting laws in the Sunshine State. In fact, Matthews was still all nutty over the 2000 election results that brought George W. Bush to office.
“Shouldn’t we have a law where you can’t change any election law until maybe two or three cycles after you’re out of power? At least then they wouldn’t be changing the rules like they’re doing now in Florida with [former-Florida Secretary of State] Katherine Harris with [former-Florida Gov.] Jeb Bush back then. There was a lot of questions about the 2000 race. And here we are again.”
Naturally RINO Crist, who shunned the Republican Party in order to endorse Barack Obama, was happy to agree with Matthews.

And, of course, purdy pictures:

In the end, the problem with Conservatism is not its packaging or messaging or outreach or even its hilariously bad apps.

The problem with Conservatism is Conservatives.

OMG, this guys not just a mass of projection, he is like the perfect storm of complete CONservative fail.
I love watching them flail around after their big loss but it wont last. They will eventually reassert themselves and start the coordinated crazy all over again.

Thanks for the Publius Forum link. Finally, someone with the courage to spell out all the things that are wrong with America. Too goddamned many democrats. And brown people, also, too.

This snippet from one of Grandpa Liberties former aids, shows just how far they are willing to go in their tantrums (via JG http://patriotboy.blogspot.com/2012/11/grab-up-your-nanny-staters-go-fuck.html)

"If I meet a Democrat in my life from here on out, I will shun them immediately. I will spit on the ground in front of them, being careful not to spit in their general direction so that they can't charge me with some stupid little nuisance law. Then I'll tell them in no un-certain terms: "I do not associate with Democrats. You all are communist pigs, and I have nothing but utter disgust for you. Sir/Madam, you are scum of the earth." Then I'll turn and walk the other way".

I guess they are going to take all their toys and go home as well....and I am but what are you!!

I see what you did, punning on the band's name with your headline. But man, that's freaking obscure name-check, isn't it? Until I Oogled for the link, I didn't know they were still playing. And for the life of me, I can't remember what they sound like. I'd play a YouTube or two, but I'm at work.

Projection?!?! hfs! (new akronym: holy fucking shit!) That 'democrats oppose' list is the single most complete batch of right wing projection I think I've ever seen. Really? we are the ones who oppose education? support totalitarianism?

Ok ok, settle down Bish, its pure Coulterian agent provacateur get-me-some-attention crap. There, I've already wasted too much effort on it.

Well, I am opposed to the 2nd Amendment, religion, and the very idea of sanctity. I don't believe in evil, but I do believe that the Republican Party is wicked.

Bisham,

"we are the ones who oppose education?"

Yes,I've actually had this debate. Yes, I've met people who believe it. Yes, I've argued with people who believe liberals want to make everyone stupid.

I asked, how many Democrats say climate science is a hoax? How many Democrats say evolution is a hoax? How many Democrats say the earth is under a million years old? How many Democrats say geology and biology is a hoax? How many Democrats say cosmology and Big Bang Theory is a hoax? How many Democrats say the Bible is the oldest religious text or the oldest text of law? How many Democrats say the Bible was written in English? How many democrats want to end second-language education? Or fine arts education? Or public schools?

The answer is usually "Liberals something something communist indoctrination something socialism something something [Bible | homosexual agenda | secularist agenda]." I've been waiting for someone to at least name the Democrat congressperson who said Guam would tip over and sink if the US expanded the Naval supply station, but I never even get that.

If you don't believe their denial is total, remember this: Michael Steel, who still holds a place in the media, said that Iraq is "Obama's War". And none of the nice people at MSNBC will ever throw that in his face.

P.S.
I love the actual "Big Head Todd and the Monsters"
They are most likely sparking up a big non-medicinal doobie somewhere in Colorado as we speak....

I can remember paying three bucks to see them play at the Lincoln Park Tap Room some time around '87-'88. Suddenly, I feel very old.

Several years ago Digby wrote of "America's two tribes." That made some real sense to me. It explains this statement: "Barack Obama isn’t the cause of America’s failure. But he is the ultimate result. He is the result of a citizenry that knows nothing about its own country. He is the result of citizens that no longer care about their country and only care about themselves."

The conservatives are in culture shock. Since WW II America has changed from a politically rural low-population-density nation into an urban high-population-density society, but our political structures remain those of the earlier wealthy southern planters and northern industrialists.

Politicians are always based on the power structures of the previous generation. That's where the wealth and social rank is.

I won't go into it, but an author named Ernest Gellner wrote "Nations and Nationalism" about the social and ideological changes that occur as nations industrialize and become urban. The American conservatives are dinosaurs who don't understand all these new pip-squeak mammals who are taking over their world and they both fear and hate the modern urban high-population-density society America is becoming. Every ignorant statement like the one above proves that.

So the conservatives are playing games to manipulate and control the political structure which is why as a minority party on votes they have retained control of the House of Representatives. But it's a rear-guard action. They are losing control of America and they HATE IT!!

That loss of control by the conservative troglodytes is inevitable. We just have to minimize the damage they do on the way out.

Who is doing the most damage to the citizens of the USA? (A) the people who believe that the Constitution should be the supreme law of the federal government. or (B) the people who support (unconstitutional) open borders, undeclared wars, budget deficeits, executive orders, voters not being being required to have photo ID's, political groups that are utimately committed to the destruction of the Constitution and the very lives of the people who support the freedoms of the Constitution, promoting the government as heads of households instead of both parents, providing 100's of millions of dollars to the enemy that the federal government is presently at war with, the continuation of wars oversea so as to provide political cover for the ongoing surrender of the USA to a covert enemy which is the same threat to the USA as the one being fought overseas, and making people dependent on and owned by (i.e. slaves of) the government.(plus other unnamed uncostitutional actions of the federal government) or (C) (reader names and/describes this 3rd group.) Please pick (A) or (B) above or describe a third group (C) that you believe would be a better answer to my question

You got your point across the first time, bill.

My answer: (C), explained here: http://t.co/FPrsYq4tZK

Somehow through some mental gymnastics, Republicans say it's the DEMS who are waging a "War on Women". Of course! If you're bill, or a typical Tea Party Republican, the DEMS forced the GOP in power in all those state legislatures and Governors Mansions to enact punitive laws punishing pregnant women who don't act like Michelle Duggar.

The Republicans use the same bassackwards "logic" for what they refer to as the War on Whites, the War on Religion, and the War on Freedom.

driftglass is right. bill is a textbook dittohead.
