A Cheney walks into a ranch.
He orders a couple of shots of Jack, drinks ‘em, then pulls a shotgun and proceeds to shoot his friend in the face.
He then walks away, shrugs it off, telling everyone to keep the whole thing as quiet as possible.
"Why?" asks the confused reporters about the whole, botched mess, as the Cheney goes about his business. "Why did you do this?!"
The Cheney produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.
"Well, I'm a Cheney," he says at the door. "Look it up."
The reporter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.
"Cheney. Large mendacious Neocon, native to the GOP.
Drinks, shoots and leaves."

Guys, sorry to go OT, but I'd been thinking of the mid-terms as the "ides of payback", but the shit may be coming down sooner than we thought.

Is it just me, or does bushCo saying
"if you don't form your government the way we want you to form it, we're going to make everything collapse into utter, bloody, chaos, and no one will blame us for creating the mother-of-all-clusterfucks."
Does that not offer yet one more piece of incontrovertible evidence of just how rabid-assed crazy these assholes are?
I mean, what are they going to do? Pull out?

Why has there been no emphasis on the absurdity of the idea that this shooting experience has been such a devastating experience for Dick? Hasn't the man participated in a major way in creating this same type of experience for so many young men and women? Young men and women having to experience shooting people? How about having to kill people? Bomb people? Destroy it all? Pets, livestock, property? Does he not think that such things might be devastating to them? That perhaps it is the worst year or two of their lives?
Does the man not know he has killed so many? Does he not know he has wounded, and left to fate, so many?
Smike, thassit. How does he separate the image of "his friend going down..." from the photos of the Iraq's who have died as a result of bushCo's invasion and occupation of a country which had, excuse the expression, Dick to do with 9-11?
He is a coldblooded, soul-less individual. I think he was momentarily shaken by the notion of his own culpability, and that was immediately replaced by the machinations of the coverup.

Cheney is part of the war profiteering bunch. He is insane, if he's able to rationalize away the waste of lives in Iraq, American and otherwise. He truly should be dropped naked in the middle of a battlezone in Iraq, with only is trusty Italian bird gun.

Recently, the discussion to illegally gag the alternative press came up at a Feb. 6 U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee hearing when Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), told
Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez that the administration has the "duty to pursue Fifth Column movements."
Sen. Graham, who volunteered to work with the administration to draft guidelines to suppress the "dissident press," went on to tell Gonzalez:
"I stand by this President's ability, inherent to being Commander in Chief, to find out about Fifth Column movements and I don't think you need a warrant to do that" Graham added.
In response, Gonzales said: "Senator, the President already said we'd be happy to listen to your ideas."
