Yes. This. We must make it our first priority to take away their ability to cheat before we even start cleaning up the mess they've made, even as awful as the mess is, and in full awareness of the howling and slander we know it will attract to us from them.
Guess what? They don't care. The howling and slander will come no matter what we do, so fuck them.
THEY have made this the single most important thing in the salvaging of our country, not us. We fell for it last time because we thought the crashing of our economy that was destroying 700,000 jobs a month was more important to the country than prosecuting them for their crimes.
And the crimes, at first glance, didn't seem to have anything to do with the crashing, so the pain of the millions of people being severely buggered by the crash seemed to take precedence.
Now we know better. There's no "fixing" anything until we get them removed from the ability to break it again.
They will try to use that against us, and our peril there is that they can make some people believe them about it.
So we do have to keep (get) our messaging shit together, but part of that is doing the thing that they do that actually works and saying fuck those people. They will fight against us no matter what we do, up to and including trying to save their lives, so we can't let their protests influence our agenda.
As long as we are serving the truth, we have to trust ourselves to be better at running things than their obvious, copious, lies.
That said, impeachment will only be a distraction from this until we figure out how to get 67 votes in the senate. They don't give a fuck about the shame of being impeached in the house, so if we can figure out a way to LBJ style threaten some senators for those votes, fine, but do the threatening first, otherwise the impeaching works better for them than us.
Thanks again for the podcast. We lost our internet this week for a couple of days, so I was really happy to get it back in time for the podcast.
