In Case You Were Wondering About The Pseudonymous Thing...

This (from HuffPo):
Woman Fired For Flipping Off Donald Trump’s Motorcade

A photo of Juli Briskman giving the middle finger to the president went viral. Her employer was not pleased.

WASHINGTON  -- You may have seen this photo of President Donald Trump’s motorcade winding down a wooded road last week as a woman on a bicycle pedaled by ― giving the middle finger to Trump.

The picture, snapped by a White House photographer traveling with the president as he left his golf course in Sterling, Va., went viral almost immediately. News outlets picked up the story when it appeared in a White House pool report. Late-night talk show hosts told jokes about the encounter and people on social media began hailing the unidentified woman as a “she-ro,” using the hashtag #Her2020.

The woman’s name is Juli Briskman. Her employer, government contractor Akima LLC, wasn’t so happy about the photo. They fired her over it.

In a Saturday interview with HuffPost, Briskman, a 50-year-old mother of two, said she was stunned that someone had taken a picture of her giving Trump the middle finger.

As the photo circulated online, Briskman decided to tell Akima’s HR department what was happening when she went to work on Monday. By Tuesday, her bosses called her into a meeting and said she had violated the company’s social media policy by using the photo as her profile picture on Twitter and Facebook.

“They said, ‘We’re separating from you,‘” said Briskman. “Basically, you cannot have ‘lewd’ or ‘obscene’ things in your social media. So they were calling flipping him off ‘obscene.’”

Briskman, who worked in marketing and communications at Akima for just over six months, said she emphasized to the executives that she wasn’t on the job when the incident happened and that her social media pages don’t mention her employer. They told her that because Akima was a government contractor, the photo could hurt their business, she said.

Virginia is an employment-at-will state, meaning employers can fire people anytime and for any reason. But Briskman said what’s been particularly infuriating is that a male colleague kept his job after recently posting lewd comments on his Facebook page that featured Akima LLC as his cover photo. She said this colleague was reprimanded for calling someone “a fucking Libtard asshole” on Facebook, but was allowed to delete the post and keep his job.

“How is that any less ‘obscene’ than me flipping off the president?” she asked. “How is that fair?"...
One of the things that comes with being a dirty,  Libtard blogger is a complete lack of institutional support of any kind.  Practically speaking, this means means that, unlike the other kids in the political sandbox whose newspaper or magazine or network or union or guild or wingnut welfare make-work machine or internet billionaire backer will foot their bills and have their back if they say something salty on The Internets, all it would take to knock me right over is a stiff breeze.

Also  I don't have the great and good Patton Oswald as my hype man.

Yet :-)

Instead, if you're a dirty,  Libtard blogger, you're pretty much out on the creaky branch all by your lonesome.

And these days the wind is blowing something fierce.

Behold, a Tip Jar!

And now, Mr. Johnny Cash:

My wife has given me, as a male, some leave to speak on such subjects, and, after reading this story, I did end up wondering aloud:

Who is the person women should apologize to for having been born with a vagina? Surely appointments can be made and supplications offered to the God of Penis, such that we can all simply move past this sort of nonsense and get on with our lives.

Does seem a waste to keep that information hidden, especially for those demanding said supplications.

Yeah, this is one of the worst aspects of the government contractor system and I have been an employee of federal government contractors. Agencies have total control over contractors, especially including political control (and especially in GOP Administrations).

I thought them thar' Ree Pub likans and the Trumpy thing hate all that political correctness.

They like being rude and crude.

But turns out it is another one of those white privilege things.
OK for them but no one else...............

To Robt: you echo what I was thinking. The GOP has made gazillions offa their propaganda wurlitzer which has done nothing but bully and harass and make obscene gestures (of one sort or another) at minorities, women, homosexuals, Muslims, and most especially dreadful Libtarded voters for decades now.

FemiNazi's, anyone? Photoshops of Obama of being lynched, anyone?

One wonders if any Tea Partiers, who were caught on camera spitting on black Congress people, lost their jobs? Doubtful.

Trump and his fans love nothing more than being rude, crude, loud White Supremacist bullies... we're adjured that at least some of them are surely "nice people."

So one lone female gets caught on camera flipping off Dolt 45, and she loses her job.

Yeah, right. Figures. Wingnuts can dish it out, but they can't take it... or more correctly, WE libtards are NOT allowed to dish it back in kind.

But I forgot: we Libtards are the ones who are so, so, so very Politically Correct special snowflakes...

P.S. It's not one "those white privilege things." It's one of those White Supremacist Nazi MALE GOP voter privilege things.

Always has been, seems like it always will be.

I know a man who ran his own anti-Obama right wing conspiracy website under his own name. It was the first thing to come up on a Google search.

He applied for and got a Federal Government job in 2013.

I won't even bother with the "Nobama" (or worse) bumper stickers on Federally funded job sites from 2009-2016.

It would not surprise me in the least that, once the Trump administration learned that Juli was employed by a defense contractor, they put pressure on them to fire her. It's just too much their style.
