The Flight MH370 Election

In case the avalanche of tragedies precipitated by the maladministration of President Stupid had swept this specific, little travesty from your memory, in order to proceed with our story this evening I am required to remind you that just about one year ago a minor wingnut crackpot and professional fear-monger named Michael Anton pseudonymously penned an unhinged diatribe entitled "The Flight 93 Election" which was picked up, repeated and referenced everywhere.

In it, Mr. Anton warned explicitly that a Hillary Clinton presidency would certainly destroy the country and kill us all.  "Hillary Clinton presidency is Russian Roulette with a semi-auto".   And so  it was up to voters to "charge the cockpit" and vote for Donald J. Trump regardless of their misgivings:
You may die anyway. You — or the leader of your party — may make it into the cockpit and not know how to fly or land the plane. There are no guarantees. Except one: If you don’t try, death is certain.
For the record, Mr. Anton has parlayed his raving, racist batshittery --
According to commentator Jonathan Chait, Anton's editorial claimed that a Trump defeat in the 2016 U.S. presidential election would have meant the end of "white America" and "conservative America".
Neoconservative analyst William Kristol compared him to German Nazi political theorist Carl Schmitt.
-- into a paid, senior national security position in the Stupid Administration:
Michael Anton...is a senior national security official in the Trump administration.
So there you go.

Well, it is now one year and many catastrophes, Nazi torch-lit parades, and treasonable and impeachable offenses later.  And if there is one thing we can say definitively, it is that last November was not "The Flight 93 Election".

It was The Flight MH370 Election.

And just in case you forgot what MH370 was:
New Evidence MH370 Was a Zombie, Not Controlled by Humans

One piece of debris from Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 has delivered the most significant picture so far of the last minutes of the flight, confirming that no human hand was in control of the Boeing 777 as it plunged into the Indian Ocean...
There were supposed to be rational, professionally-qualified human beings in charge of our politics and our media.  That has always been our unspoken social compact.  Rational, professionally-qualified human beings who might be full of shit six days out of seven and might put their careers and personal agendas ahead of everything else during ordinary times, but who, at a bare minimum, would alert us to the presence of genuine, existential danger when it was bearing down on us and who would help steer us away from it.

Our whole, glorious system is predicated on this terribly fragile, consensual hallucination (h/t William Gibson) and last year that dream collapsed.  And that, more than anything else, is what has freaked us out so badly.

Instead of rational, professionally-qualified human beings in the cockpit, it turned out (as those dirty Liberals had been warning for years) there was no one in the cockpit at all.  Just a collection of obscenely overpaid autopiloting algorithms, all ideologically daisy-chained together, all locked onto the same course, all insisting that our ship of state go right on mindlessly navigating in the direction of a wholly imaginary Center despite the imminent existential threat that was tearing us apart from the Right.

And now here we are, wildly off course, far out over dark, strange water on a moonless night.  The cockpit door is in splinters, and inside, instead of even marginally-rational, minimally-qualified human beings who are at least capable of finally identify the danger they have put us in, we find the nothing but same puerile zombies, unable to stop robotically repeating their same old lies that led us into disaster in the first place:

From MSNBC's Morning Joe, yesterday:
JOE SCARBOROUGH:  ...This is easily the least popular thing Donald Trump has done. Do you think he really didn't understand that until he got the feedback, and that's why he did a 180 about five times?

MARK HALPERIN:  It's a great example of how the loudest voices on the national town square on the right and on the left can drown out and create a distortion for politicians...

From CBS, yesterday:
Both Siderists in politics and in the media cannot help save us from the genuine, existential danger which we now face because Both Siderists in politics and in the media are an integral part of the genuine, existential danger which we now face.

Behold, a Tip Jar!

My favorite subcategory of the Both Sides narrative has to be the one used by Republicans to cover their asses when they make broadly unpopular attacks on programs like the ACA and now DACA. It would be as though the police caught a mugger who put someone in the hospital, and in his defense he said "There's blame to go around - if he'd worked harder and had more money, I wouldn't have gotten angry enough to beat the crap out of him!"

But that's the absurdity you encounter when you invest in a wholly decontextualized ideology, one in which our problems are not worldly issues like money, nature and war, but rather the arguments people have over them. When you decide that disagreement is the greatest of all evils, you have to assume that both sides are stocked with an equal number of villains of equal badness. No one ever names these "voices" on the left who are the equals of Trump, Ryan, McConnell, etc. in pushing unpopular and destructive policies, but they must exist, so we'll assume they do until we can put names to them. The judge might not know how the mugging victim was the equal of his attacker, but he must be.

But, of course, this search for a counterbalance to the actually verifiable malefactor only applies when the criminal is, let us say (and why not), "wearing a "Bush/Cheney '04" t-shirt, a tri-corner hat and [...] carrying one of those "Don't Tread On Me" flags" and shouting "Gimme your fucking wallet or I'll fucking kill you you fucking Commie". Because that's just the way it works.

Officer: The way what works?

Brooks: "Centrism".

Officer: So according to this "Centrism", every time a Republican assaults someone, somewhere out there is a Liberal who is at least equally to blame for it?

Brooks: Correct.

Officer: And every time a Liberal does something wrong, a Republican is also at fault?

Brooks: No, every time a Liberal does something wrong Conservatism is vindicated and Ronald Reagan smiles down on us from Heaven.

Officer: I see. (closes his notebook) I think I have all I need here.

I think the media can only keep giving Trump and Republicans a pass because the DOW is over 21,000. Even when Iraq had clearly gone tits up by 2005, Bush (Whose was that? asks the news media and 63 million voters) was at worst called a lame duck President. He and the Republican Party didn't truly become briefly radio active until the economy tanked and upper and upper-middle class whites started to suffer.

And just when long term prospects for the Republican Party and conservative were really looking bad....Bill Kristol pushes Sarah Palin onto the stage, saves the party, and directly laid the foundation for Trump's candidacy.

The both sider shield Sen Cotton walks into the interview with allows him to perform impersonations of any one of his choice in what ever moment.

Why one of our 1st Amendment protected entities tolerate to the point of enabling it has only led me to 2 conclusion of non peered reviewed theory
A) employer imposed or B) conditioned minds programmed in definitive robotics..

Would like to add, The republican use of Equinox warfare.

Even though naturally baked in to the guidance this warfare prescribes.
The ever reverting, direvting, accepting the blame placed on others *for own actions), The core beliefs of the moment, the closely held values of tradition blowing in the wind like a sole feather in the wind.

It is time to re define Republicanism. Conservatism.!

-Family values; Grabbing her by the pussay (with accent)..
-redistributing other peoples money; "including wealthy peoples tax dollars".
-With us or against us?
-The Biblical life and high times of the religiously beloved and worshiped
Ayn Rand.
-Paul Ryan as GOP VP candidate being the most conservative warrior to today's
RINO reluctant House speaker with liberal itchy blotches around his groin area.

The GOP core philosophy is forever afoot. party of a John Birch base, Lunchbox Reagan corporate madness. Tea Particles, Freedom Cocks, White supremacist freedom wielders.. Where only recently developed "GOOD NAZIS and Good KKK members.
Who are they today?
We need some sort of barometer to keep measurements by the decade, year, month, week, day Hour and in many case in the moment of a presently espoused sentence they speak.

Is Bill Nye available? We need to science the crap out of this. If we need to run something trough the Atom Smasher, then, "by gum" let us have at it.

You can have the GOP accept Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz because of the Latin token vote of diversity. While Jeff Sessions can go full white power on migrants legal or other wise because liberals want illegal immigrants for their votes.
Yet,
Lying Ted who's parents circumvented the immigration avenues by first infiltrating Canada and then sneaking through the system from North to south while they had everyone watching South to north.
Should Cruz be deported and made to enter in a more legit and honest way?

Is Ted Cruz an "illegitimate immigrant"???? For in which the sneaky manner of which he entered the country?
Did Marco Rubio's parents purchase their way to the front of the immigration line and line the pockets of someone in Congress? And what title of illegitimacy would Rubio have branded on his forehead?
