Matthew Dowd Remains a Fundamentally Ridiculous Person

I think the word that ABC's chief political analyst is struggling not to say is "uppity".

Because here are a couple of excerpts from President George Washington's farewell address:

You know, it seems like this is just the sort of subject matter that ABC's chief political analyst should be up-to-speed on, especially before shooting off his big, dumb gob in public.

But of course Matthew Dowd is a Fundamentally Ridiculous Person.

I thought the same thing as soon as I saw your post: every recent President has given a farewell address, including his former boss. Dowd just showed more evidence that he is just your run-of-the-mill racist dickhead.

I remember Eisenhower's farewell speech used to be cited fairly frequently in the '70s, but Eisenhower was written out of Republican history in the '80s, wasn't he?

I am beginning to wonder whether journalists should be required (the way doctors and other professionals are required) to take periodic remedial history courses for something like continuing education credits. Although it might mess with their biases...

I thought Chuck previously announced that it is not his job to tell the truth based on fact and reality on the ground?
So what is he talking about?

No more need to listen to a guy on TV that tells you on TV he doesn't do journalism and doesn't see anything in his exclusive job description that he is to provide news.
News being defined as something that actually happened and the facts and truth of the matter.
Stopped watching the Todd after he told me his job is to assist his guest to lie to me..............!

Somehow they couldn't prop Reagan up long enough for a farewell address, apparently. Wonder why?
