The Return of Judge Lynch -- UPDATE

To Serve and Protect

He's been back for awhile, Judge Lynch has, but usually he speaks through intermediaries in suits calmly reciting talking points, or in a uniform, teevee-ready, earnestly telling his hair-raising tales of why he just had to kill some unarmed black man or child.

Judge Lynch has been an éminence grise on Fox News for years.  A unnamed hero on Hate Radio.  A proven vote-getter for the GOP decade after decade.  But usually in the shadows,  Encrypted.  Tacitly understood.

In Eric Garner Chokehold Case, Grand Jury Is Said Not to Charge N.Y.P.D. Officer
By J. DAVID GOODMAN and AL BAKERDEC. 3, 2014

A Staten Island grand jury has voted not to bring criminal charges in the death of Eric Garner, a black man who died after being placed in a chokehold by a white police officer, two people briefed on the matter said Wednesday.

The decision was reached on Wednesday after months of testimony including from the officer who used the chokehold, Daniel Pantaleo. Mr. Garner died after the violent confrontation. The grand jury reached its decision less than two weeks after a grand jury in Ferguson, Mo., declined to bring charges against a white officer who fatally shot an unarmed black teenager, Michael Brown.

The only real question now is which adjectives Roger Ailes will deploy this time to turn another dead black citizen into a fire-breathing dragon and his armed, deputized killer into Saint George.

A damn sad and shameful day in this country, spiked on top of far too many other sad and shameful days,

But...
