Three Generations of Beltway Inbreeding Are Enough

On a disturbingly regular basis, Washington Free Beacon publisher and Omni Consumer Products junior vice president stock character,  Matthew Continetti, shows up on the teevee machine to say remarkably stupid shit like this:
Which leads a lot of people to wonder why this idiot is on the teevee machine at all.

Except, of course, the reason a seat is reserved for Mr. Continetti at the mainstream media table is one of those well-known-but-never-spoken-of arrangements which dictate so much of what we see an hear on teevee packaged and sold as "news".  From Jonathan Chait in 2014 (edited slightly to eliminate the time-line error in the original):
...
After graduating from college, [Matthew] Continetti received a well-funded fellowship at the Weekly Standard financed by a wealthy organization, founded by William Simon and Irving Kristol, which is dedicated to subsidizing conservative journalists. Book editor Adam Bellow had an idea for a project, and asked Bill Kristol, Irving’s son, for a name. Kristol suggested his young charge, Continetti...

Continetti nurtured early dreams of writing for magazines like The New Yorker, but instead gravitated to movement journalism. He authored a hagiography of Sarah Palin (who, like Continetti, is a Kristol patron), started up the Free Beacon, along with lobbyist Michael Goldfarb, with a memorable clarion call, headlined “Combat Journalism,” which explained the publication’s credo. Starting from the premise that the liberal media consists of “hackneyed spin, routine misstatements, paranoid hyperbole, and insipid folderol,” he set out to create an equally hackish version for the GOP: “At the Beacon, we follow only one commandment: Do unto them.” And so he has done it again...
In fulfillment of Beltway prophecy, Mr. Continetti went on to marry Bloody Bill Kristol's daughter,  thus ushering in 1,000 years of hippie punching, MAGA hats and boffo cable news ratings.

Ha, what a seemingly erudite point this sleaze makes. Hmm yes, hypotheticals of hypotheticals, hasn't been litigated. Yet. How can such vague notions even be contemplated? People know better than to listen to the word farts this joker trumpets on twitter. The joker, who you know, is the President of the United States*, who everyone knows committed crimes, we're all just waiting to see which ones he'll be charged with. And he's going to pardon himself. Why would anyone contemplate that? Such vagaries. Pish posh.

He also lied when he claimed that Obama admitted 22 times that he did not have the authority to expand DACA.

To be clear,
Your description of right wing welfare programs as in the Kristol promotion of wingers for the future is made possible by nut bag billionaire donors who find funding and promoting this asserts control on the populace. A control they strongly believe they need to retain on the populace ever since the FDR era rise. Something these masters of the universe never saw coming at the time.
Not being adequate media exposure and requiring more voices to to prop up the two legged stool instead of investing in a third leg for stablity.
We Get ghouls of the past promoting the vile of today.

In other words,
The likes of Newt, Santorun, Rush, Reagan never go away. That there is never any time left in media for anything other than the preserve the rule of the plantation masters and provide assurances their children (like in N. Korea) will be prominent and be worshiped and most of all inheritance wealth guanteed even if that means government subsidies.

As annoying as he is on that video clip, I can't say that his description of the liberal media in the text excerpt is wrong.

You know in real fact, I'm a pacifist and I eschew violence of all sorts.

But I see a dweeb like this guy and I want to slap the eyeglasses off his face and steal his lunch money. Sheesh.

This guy was born to be a Republican apologist. He had no other options.
