Ah, Judge Jeanine, the 21st Century Tokyo Rose ... living proof that no amount of make-up or lighting or CGI can pretty up a hate-drunk naked feral brain-stem with a contract.

Yes, these rich bastards are sadists. They are Butch and the stupid voters who support them are "Woim".

The best part of the podcast was Driftglass' admonishment about judging people's past actions based on current standards. Speaking of feeding Republicans ammo, among the more pointless issues I heard raised this week was Kirsten Gillerbrandt saying Bill Clinton should have resigned over the Monica Lewinsky scandal and a caller to the Dean Obadallah Show feeling offended that he referred what Franken did as a misdemeanor because she didn't like the sound of it as a layman and the mother of a rape victim who called in and said that people should just believe women's allegations and not bother to hear the accused side. I think it's fair to question what "punishment" some women are expecting decades after the fact when they accuse someone who isn't seeking a position of authority of making unwanted advances.

Also, wasn't Andrew Johnson impeached?

VonWenk,

Well, if you're going to get all liberal, fact-based, nitpicky about things ... yes, Andrew Johnson was impeached (by the House of Representatives) and acquitted (by the Senate). Same as the Big Dawg.

However, I must point out that no one really KNOWS if this is a fact (which have a known liberal bias). History is malleable, books not published by Regenry are suspect, and even being educated or "reading" are sure signs of being a commie, pinko, faggot terrorist liberal.

So there's that to consider.

Every time I hear anyone trying to re-litigate Bill Clinron's trial (as if it never happened), I always remember a comic I saw in the East Bay Express at the time. It was Lynda Barry's "Ernie Pook's Comeek" which was running at the same time Matt Groening had "Life in Hell" in the same little free weekly paper.
Anyway, the comic was of kids jumping rope, and the caption read:
"Bill and Monica sitting in a tree, doing inappropriate intimacy. Monica told Linda, Linda told Ken, now I'm telling you and I'm only ten."

This wonderful backlash from women (well, white women; black women were already lashing before Fergus made the lash a backlash) is heartening, if nothing else. I only hope it's what it appears to be, and part and parcel to the newly changed societal standards you mentioned.
If so, it's about fucking time.

Thanks again for the podcast, it kind of recharges me when, as the joke puts it: In Trump's Soviet Amerikka, the swamp drains you.
