Like The Stink From a Burning, Mile-High Shitpile...

...Coulter shifts when the wind shifts.

Just like every other "True" Conservative.

Which I took some pains to point out I point out a year ago.

But y'all go ahead.  Chase the shiny racist crazy.  I'll still be here -- and I'll still be right -- when the poison wind from the Republican dungheap shifts again.

And once again I'd like take a moment single out Bill Maher for special recognition. Without his tireless efforts and willingness to put HBO money behind Coulter, this gorgon might've long ago disappeared into into a well-deserved obscurity and would now be making her living doing two-girls-one-hood acts with Michelle Malkin at Klan rallies.

Coulter, Duckspeak and You

For those of you unfamiliar with her work, Ann Coulter is 43 pounds of rode-hard, visibly-decomposing, Republican slunkmeat who has worked frantically over the past 20 years to stay at the far-end of the "Wingnuts Saying The Most Godawful Shit Imaginable" bell curve.

You see, "Saying The Most Godawful Shit Imaginable" is basically her whole career (here is a sampling of her book titles) --
Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism
Godless: The Church of Liberalism
Guilty: Liberal "Victims" and Their Assault on America
If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans
In Trump We Trust
Demonic: How the Liberal Mob Is Endangering America
Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right
Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama
Resistance Is Futile! How the Trump-Hating Left Lost Its Collective Mind
-- and since the Right is now overstocked with freelance racists, out-and-proud Nazis and hypercaffeinated 12-year-old feculoids who sprang fully-formed from their whelping box screaming about how they were being cruelly silenced by the Libtard Media Conspiracy, it has gotten harder and harder for dilapidated, steam-powered gorgons like Coulter to stay in the game.

And so, on Sunday, Ms. Coulter decided to be the first to take the Republican black-sites-for-babies discussion where you just knew it was always going to go.

From the Dead Andrew Breitbart Fuhererbunker (no links because fuck 'em):
Coulter Warns Trump on Immigration, Border: ‘Don’t Fall for the Actor Children’

Sunday on Fox News Channel’s “The Next Revolution,” conservative commentator and author Ann Coulter advised President Donald Trump not to “fall for the actor children” at the border and cited a New Yorker article describing children with scripts and coaching to make situations appear worse.

“I would also say one other thing, these child actors weeping and crying on all the other networks 24/7 right now: do not fall for it, Mr. President. I get very nervous about the president getting his news from TV,” said Coulter.

She continued, “A New Yorker article … not a conservative publication, they describe how these kids, these kids are being coached. They’re given scripts to read by liberals, according to the New Yorker. Don’t fall for the actor children.”...
For the record, this was part of a panel that also featured Kimberly "Real Girlfriend Experience" Guilfoyle and disgraced traitor Jason Chaffetz.

Also for the record, Breitbart provides no link to this phantom New Yorker article, neither does Coulter, neither does Fox News and a search of the New Yorker archives reveals nothing that could remotely be construed as supporting Ms. Coulter's unhinged Republican duckspeak (from Wikipedia):
Duckspeak is a Newspeak term that means "to quack like a duck" (literal meaning) or "to speak without thinking". Duckspeak can be good or "ungood" (bad) depending on who is speaking, and whether what they are saying aligns with Big Brother's ideals. To speak rubbish and lies may be "ungood", but to do so for the benefit of The Party may be good. Orwell explains in the appendix: "Ultimately it was hoped to make articulate speech issue from the larynx without involving the higher brain centres at all. This aim was frankly admitted in the Newspeak word duckspeak […]. Like various words in the B vocabulary, duckspeak was ambivalent in meaning. Provided that the opinions which were quacked out were orthodox ones, it implied nothing but praise, and when the Times referred to one of the orators of the Party as a doubleplusgood duckspeaker it was paying a warm and valued compliment."
Also for the record, as Right Wing Watch points out:
Coulter has previously suggested shooting immigrants who are attempting to cross the U.S. southern border and said that “death squads” may be the only hope if Trump helps pass immigration reform legislation. Coulter also has cozy connections with white nationalists and is openly admired by the president.
So why write about this openly deranged ghoul who makes a living pouring poison into the already cracked skulls of Republican idiots?

Because this particular openly deranged ghoul is syndicated in the good, gray pages of hundreds of local newspapers across this land of the free, including the State Journal-Register right here in Springfield where she is slotted between Iraq torture pimp Marc Thiessen and respected Spanish-American war correspondent and climate change denier, George Will, in their regular Conservative columnist rotation.

When You've Lost Eva Braun-Nose...

From HuffPo:
Ann Coulter Calls ‘Grotesque’ Donald Trump A Disappointment

“The Trump-haters were right ... it’s a nightmare,” she tells The Daily Caller.

Erstwhile staunch Donald Trump booster Ann Coulter has called the president “grotesque” and disappointing as she appeared poised to bail on him even before The Washington Post reported Monday that he leaked classified information to the Russians.

“Everyone who voted for him knew his personality was grotesque,” but it was the issues, the conservative commentator and author told The Daily Caller in an interview Sunday. Now, as far as the issues go, “boy, things don’t look good,” she said.

“I’m not very happy with what has happened so far,” Coulter added. “I guess we have to try to push him to keep his promises. But ... if he doesn’t keep his promises I’m out.”

“Where is the great negotiation?” she asked. “That budget the Republicans pushed through was like a practical joke.… Did we win anything?”

She even called developments in the administration a “disaster so far.”...
Trump is a symptom

Coulter is a symptom.

The American Right is the disease.

Metastasizing Cultural Cancer Says What?

It would be easy to note that since, at 54, Ann Coulter is no longer the "It Girl" of White Pride Worldwide, she has to hate ever harder and louder to get her ghastly, dead-eyed mug on camera.

But that would be wrong.

You could also argue that, as author Steven Beschloss does that, Trump has opened the door for this kind of despicable talk:

And while that is true, it is not at all sufficient.

As Liberals bloggers and media sites have documented for years and in excruciating detail, this kind of "despicable talk" has been the lingua franca of Hate Radio/Fox News for decades now. Decades.

And yet tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow, she'll still be syndicated in newspapers coast-to-coast.  And  next week or the week after that she'll be back on MSNBC, yucking it up with Chris Matthews.

It is long past time when anyone can honestly say that Ann Coulter, or Sean Hannity, or Rush Limbaugh are the problem.

No, the problem is the mainstream media that normalizes their bigotry and lies.

I imagine Melissa Harris-Perry's MSNBC termination letter mounted on a pike outside the MSNBC cafeteria as a cautionary tale to anyone MSNBC employee who might be thinking of challenging Comcast's corporate decisions in any way.

I imagine Joe Scarborough rubbing it every time he walks by -- like it was his own, personal Apollo Theater “Tree of Hope” stump -- and laughing and laughing and laughing all the way to the bank.

Words, Words, Words

Former Bush speechwriter and persistent Beltway stalactite, Michael Gerson, is worried that dehumanizing language deployed by political movements against outsiders and minorities can lead to trouble:
This is a vicious and dangerous cycle: dehumanizing rhetoric, leading to distrust of government and law enforcement, contributing to tragedies that feed dehumanizing rhetoric. Both our ideals and our safety are compromised when politicians provide permission for bigotry.
So true and well said Michael!

And hey, apropos of nothing, remember how much fun it was being a Liberal in American when Micheal Gerson's former boss was running the show?
Mr. Rove made the comments at a fund-raiser in Manhattan on Wednesday, saying: "Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war; liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers."

"Conservatives saw what happened to us on 9/11 and said, 'We will defeat our enemies,"' Mr. Rove continued at a gathering in Midtown for the Conservative Party of New York State. "Liberals saw what happened to us and said, 'We must understand our enemies."'
How restrained the rhetoric was?

And how the wingnuts who elected Micheal Gerson's boss were encouraged to calm the fuck down?

The bad news is, all of this happened many thousands of years ago and is now lost to human memory so no exact record of who said what about whom exists.

The good news it, I'm sure we have all learned our lesson from those horrendous years when Michael Gerson's boss was running the show and are no longer rewarding people who traffic in lies and hatespeech.

Now Ann Coulter likes Donald Trump so much she's writing a book, 'In Trump We Trust'

...
Coulter will release a new book praising the candidate, "In Trump We Trust: The New American Revolution," this summer, her publisher Sentinel announced.

See the most-read stories this hour >>

"In Trump We Trust" will be Coulter's 12th book. Her previous work includes "Godless: The Church of Liberalism," "Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama" and "Adios, America: The Left's Plan to Turn Our Country Into a Third World Hellhole."...

The Search For Nimrata Randhawa-Haley's Birth Certificate Begins*

Longtime readers know that I have gradually come to the conclusion that looking-with-alarm at what batshit poison Rush Limbaugh or Mark Levine** are vomiting on any given day is a mug's game. The only way to break the death-grip of the calamitously insane Right is by focusing what little fire we have on their political and media enablers in the Fake Center.  That is the way around their Maginot Line.

However, today I think it is instructive point out Magda Goebbels Ann Coulter's comments on   Confederate News Network to show shows just how fast they will drop a not-one-of-us house on any otherwise-loyal Republican stooge who dares to cross the Party of Jefferson Davis.

Sure, she would like to think that Governor Haley is one of the good ones (From Talking Points Memo) --
...though, I really like to like Nikki Haley since she is a Republican.
-- but in light of her stunning betrayal of the True Flag of The Transvaal White Jebusland, Josephine McCarthy Ann Coulter now has serious questions about Governor Haley's, um, pedigree:
During an appearance with Kennedy on Fox Business Network, Coulter said that the deadly shooting at a history black church in Charleston "had nothing to do with the Confederate flag." And she lamented that that Americans do not understand the history of the Confederate flag.

She then said that many media outlets, such as MSNBC, got the flag's history in South Carolina wrong, noting that the flag first went up at the capitol in 1962 under a Democratic governor and legislature to mark the 100th anniversary of the Civil War.

Coulter then took a shot at South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R), who on Monday called for the removal of the Confederate flag from the state capitol grounds.

"I’m appalled by –– though, I really like to like Nikki Haley since she is a Republican. On the other hand, she is an immigrant and does not understand America’s history," Coulter said.
As Phyllis Schlafly shambles towards the grave and a very unpleasant meeting with her Maker, Mary Matalin is poised to take over her job as Dowager Gorgon of the Party of Jefferson Davis.  When that happens, Ms. Coulter stands ready to step into the position of Vice Gorgon, which means that one of Roger Ailes' on-air tit-shaking shoutycrackers can slip into Ms. Coulter's job as Regional Sales Manager for Racism and Bile.

And everybody moves up.

Shoutycrackers Idiot Put On Teevee Again Because Reasons

The minute you put a bile-spewing gorgon like Pam Geller on teevee you loan her the credibility of your enterprise.  The fact of her presence on your air confirms her worthiness to be there,

The minute you sit down across from a human dumpster fire like Pam Geller to "debate" her you have already lost.  The fact of your presence across from her confirms that her position merits such a debate.

The cure for moral disease-vectors like Pam Geller is to shun them.  Never give them your platform.  Never grant their madness the dignity of your consideration.  Let them rave their tedious lunacy on public transit like every other unbalanced bug-eyed Conspiracerian who knows the Terrible Secret Behind It All!

But our media does not shun these people and by-and-large our public figures do not show the grace and good sense of walking out when creatures like Pam Gellar walk in.   And no one inside Media, Inc. has yet broken faith with their fellow collaborators to tell us poor rube out here in the Heartland can figure out why.

Today CNN lost.

Chris Cuomo lost.

And the forces of darkness were handed another easy lay-up.

In Other News, Ann Coulter Remains a Pathological Liar

From the Tampa Bay Times:
...
Coulter said a friend’s sister "died from Obamacare" because she was "thrown off her insurance plan, you know Blue Shield completely just pulled out of California."

We're not fact-checking whether someone died. We're looking at the circumstances Coulter presented.

Blue Shield did not pull out of California, and the company did not leave people without insurance. In fact, customers were allowed to keep their existing insurance plans through March. If the basic facts of Coulter’s story are accurate, the woman in question elected to drop insurance coverage.

Whatever the story of Blue Shield, saying someone died "from Obamacare" is incendiary and grossly misleading.
Not to worry. If the last 20 years has demonstrated anything it is that being an out-and-proud pathological liar has no deleterious effect whatsoever on the careers of gorgons like Coulter.

Because they have no souls, they survive every scandal, mutate and come back stronger, venom sacs recharged, book contract ready and a chair pulled out for them at some powerhouse pundit round-table somewhere.

Sunday Morning Comin' Down

"Take-a-Gorgon-to-Work Day" redux edition.

Ann Coulter was on "This Week..." defending Willard Romney's Illuminati-grade secrecy and Nixon-grade lying about every salient aspect of his life by shrilling that (possible drug addict?) Bill Clinton didn't release his medical records so fuck you Librul traitors!

"He absolutely should not release any more tax returns. He has released two years. Bill Clinton wouldn't release his medical records. You know, people kind of wondered about that. We know after the JFK presidency, you could have an issue with a drug addict president, but he just dug in his heels--"

Thus reminding everyone with functional memories that the Coulter media tapeworm originally clawed it's way out of back-alley obscurity and achieved professional escape velocity by lying louder and crazier about Bill Clinton than almost anyone else, and that in all of her many  hollow, fevered, blood-soaked, hate-mongering years since, the only way Coulter has managed to hang onto the ragged edge of celebrity has been by out-batshitting the competition.

Of course there were long stretches when Ms. Coulter seemed on the verge of being finally and fittingly dispatched to the ash-heap of history, such as here -- in one of Conservatism's many horribly misguided attempts at mixing projectile-bile vomiting with "humor" -- where she was reduced to playing "Madame" to Rush Limbaugh's Wayand Flowers.

The key difference being that Wayand Flowers and Madame occasionally had their moments:

But like genital herpes, Ann Coulter never really goes away.

Of course, given the fact that the GOP has been a full-on, shit-scribbling-on-the-walls madhouse for decades now, it is not hard to understand why, over and over again, such creatures as Coulter crawl out of its whelping box and into full-time gigs at Fox News or on Hate Radio.   What is less clear is why a "legitimate" and "respected" program like "This Week..." would mainstream this hell-beast by booking her on their air --

"...Ann Coulter, whose book "Demonic: How the Liberal Mob is Endangering America" now out in paperback."

-- thus lending her the veneer of whatever is left of their credibility.

And doing it twice in as many months?  And doing it as bookends to an appearance by the equally odious Dana Loesch?

For that explanation we must turn to Faye Dunaway:

As always, The Gingrich Rules are in full effect, and will remain so until a sufficient amount of professional pain is inflicted on the people who make these decision convinces them to make better decisions.

Angry Conservative Blogger

Punches The Greatest Conservative Political Genius in the History of Everything in the face.

I hate it when loony mommy and loony daddy fight.

From Michele Malkin:
Rove bashes O’Donnell; O’Donnell supporter at victory party strikes back; NRSC cuts and runs

I just finished watching Karl Rove trashing GOP Senate primary winner Christine O’Donnell. It was on Sean Hannity’s FNC show. Might as well have been Olbermann on MSNBC. The establishment Beltway strategist couldn’t even bother with an obligatory word of congratulations for O’Donnell. He criticized her “character” and “rectitude” and claimed she hadn’t answered questions about her financial woes. She did so here. Rove mocked her security concerns as “nutty.” Yet, her concerns have been more than justified. See here (second video clip).

Rove came across as an effete sore loser instead of the supposedly brilliant and grounded GOP strategist that he’s supposed to be. Expect more Washington Republicans to start sounding like Tea Party-bashing libs as their entrenched incumbent friends go down.
...
Of course, this particular vintage of bile has been a staple at the Malkin blog for a long while. Her critique of Rove is essentially that, during the Age of Bush, Don Karleone was a pussy for not letting the Right's rabid crapweasels completely off their leashes (as demonstrated here, where Malkin seconds fellow Gorgon Ann Coulter's whining about how Poor Ol' Dubya's unnecessarily slim margin of victor in 2004 deprived her of her beauty sleep):

The truth? It’s much, much closer to Ann Coulter’s analysis last week, which was striking in its candor about Rove’s keep-the-social-conservatives-at-arm’s length strategy:
Of course, we could have done it a lot earlier on election night but for “Boy Genius” Karl Rove. It’s absurd that the election was as close as it was. The nation is at war, Bush is a magnificent wartime leader, and the night before the election we didn’t know if a liberal tax-and-spend, Vietnam War-protesting senator from Massachusetts would beat him.

If Rove is “the architect” — as Bush called him in his acceptance speech — then he is the architect of high TV ratings, not a Republican victory. By keeping the race so tight, Rove ensured that a race that should have been a runaway Bush victory would not be over until the wee hours of the morning.

As we now know, the most important issue to voters was not terrorism, but moral values. Marriage amendments won by lopsided majorities in all 11 states where they were on the ballot. Even in Oregon, the state targeted by gay marriage advocates as their best shot of defeating a marriage amendment, the amendment passed by 57 percent — a figure noticeable for being larger than the percentage of votes cast for Bush in Oregon. In the great state of Mississippi, the marriage amendment passed with 88 percent of the vote.
...

But Rove concluded Bush should stay mum on gay marriage and partial-birth abortion — contravening the politicians’ rule of thumb: Talk about your positions that are wildly popular with voters. “Boy Genius” Rove decided Bush shouldn’t even run radio ads on gay marriage, and at the last minute, Bush started claiming he was in favor of civil unions, just like John Kerry.

Well they're off the leash now and running wild, so I can only assume that Malkin and Coulter are the two happiest strap-chewers in all of wingnut Bedlam.

And I solemnly promise to care a whole lot less about what a deep-fried. moon-howlin' crazy haint like Malkin have to say about anything once the Mainstream Media stops putting her on my fucking teevee machine.

Digby has more exciting, late-breaking-Rove-related Kilkenny cat action
There once were two cats of Kilkenny
Each thought there was one cat too many
So they fought and they fit
And they scratched and they bit
'Til (excepting their nails
And the tips of their tails)
Instead of two cats there weren't any!

as the Right eats itself alive at her place here.
