As Figaro's human, I can share Figaro thoroughly approves of your choice for his theme song. I should advise you that he does have several other common-use names:

"Figa-NOOOOO"
"Why are you eating a plastic bag?"
"DON'T YOU DARE PISS ON THAT BATH MAT YOU FUCKING BOOKCASE GARGOYLE"

Those are a few.

He says thanks!

I was living in Oakland when Gavin Reptile was mayor of San Francisco and started issuing marriage licenses to gay couples.
It got him a lot of media attention but none of the couples were really married. That's when I started calling him Gavin Reptile, mostly because one of those couples was my late sister and her future wife Mary, and I didn't appreciate him toying with their lives like that purely for his political advancement.
I voted for him for governor in the general but not in the primary, and should he run for president, my behavior will be similar.
So, yes, he has alienated at least some of the supporters he would need to win the presidency, me being one of them.
Also, as governor he hasn't been that great. Gerry Brown fought off the Democratic supermajorities in the state legislature to enact a more moderate budget that included a larger than they wanted rainy day fund "This boom won't last forever..." and after Gavin gave away the post-covid surplus in stimulus checks of $600 to only California residents who filed state tax returns (and not ones on SSDI who didn't, like me) that rainy day fund kept our schools from being absolutely gutted when the bottom fell out of the post-covid boomlet we experienced because high wage earners worked remotely and thus kept paying state taxes.
Anyway, California is a fucking huge economy and running it is really hard and Gavin could have done much better at it than he did. This concludes my Gavin Reptile rant.
Thank you again for the podcast. I have medical appointments long drives away from here this week, but one of them can be done over the phone if I can get my labs done locally, so that's a good thing. Modesto is a half-tank of gas round trip and those aren't cheap.
