Please forgive me if I quote a republican (ex-republican perhaps / not sure) but Stuart Stevens has admitted how wrong he was about the so-called "conservative" (see: fascist) movement; So a couple of quotes that I'm fairly sure are accurate: "Trump did not change the republican party, he Revealed it" and "Strongly held beliefs do not evaporate overnight" and Stuart Stevens book: "it was ALL a LIe" from Russel Kirks' 10 "conservative" principles (a virtue signaling/thieving collection of bullshit soundbites) to crypto-Nazi (thank Gore Vidal who gutted Buckley on nationally syndicated TV with that name during a debate) William F Buckley to white supremacist John Tanton to the current fascist freak running the White House Steve-phen Miller - as Stuart Stevens has said "It was ALL marketing slogans" - every word of the Grand Old Party of fascists Again; "Trump did not change the republican party, he REVEALED it" SO yeah Tom Nichols won't do what Stuart Stevens has done and admit that every fucked up fascist, racist, bigoted, antidemocracy ant-American thing done by the GOP was and is not a mistake - This is exactly what the GOP wants -And Donald Trump, the reality TV game show host and born loser at every "business" he's ever attempted (in fact Donald probably still owes far more Money than he has managed to grift, and out-right steal - even from the White house) is exactly the kind of figurehead the Donor class owner/operators ot the GOP want: Stupid, malleable, insecure, "easily baited by a tweet", incurious, no-nothing imbecile, and existing at a level of cowardice unmatched in U.S. presidential history - Every ingredient, every prerequisite to be the least obstacle to the GOP's long sought after fascist movement - as another republican named early on - fascism

Every single Never Trumper was the jock strap to support the coming of a Trump just like the GW Bush.
In common with Never Trumpers and Trump himself and republicans is the inability to take responsibility and admit mistakes in life. They are swift to saddle everyone elses horse with a saddle that tells them how to ride the horse like a proper republican.
Like a recovering alcoholic who had been out of control destroying his life and everyone around him during his alcoholic practice. Now, sober for a short time and attending AA. Now giving people advice on how to deal with their troubles in life. Never atoning or making amends he gloriously knows what is best for everyone.
Let me be clear! There is no such thing as republican rehab. There is no center for this disease to recover and their is no cure.
No vaccine to prevent infection. But their are natural anti bodies which only leaves these people immune to the GOP mental disease.
