Good afternoon, BG and DG!
Thank you for the cast. It's a good speech. Sad, but necessary, to remember too that however the odds stacked against Pres. Carter, he contributed to his own struggles too (I think everybody does).
However sad it is that mercenary liars (and fascist enablers) like TLP get all the free airtime and support they do, I won't completely turn up my nose if they occasionally expose useful information. Of course, they're quoting actual hardworking people like, well, Y'ALL, to do it, but - well, just take a look.
DKos story on No Labels getting funding from Harlan Crow ('member him?):
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2023/4/17/2164479/-No-Labels-is-a-Trump-Super-Pac-Funded-in-Part-by-Harlan-Crow
Link to the actual TLP twit (sorry it's huge):

And since I'm a bit of a scheisse kopf when it comes to not letting people forget that TLP is a bunch of fashie-flirtatious mercenary liars currently impersonating Democrats, here's a link to my reply, which hat-tips y'all:

Thanks for all you do.
Hey again, y'all.
Looks like The Corruption Shall Never Die, either.
Seen on Democratic Underground:
https://www.americanoversight.org/email-suggests-that-supreme-court-justice-thomas-had-been-in-regular-contact-with-florida-gov-desantis
Given that this dates from Feb 2022, and there's been no action (nor media space) since, it's unlikely to go anywhere; but this quote:
>>> The executive director of the Republican Party of Florida said, “I can’t speak about any private conversations Governor DeSantis may or may not have had with anyone but both he and Justice Thomas believe in the separation of powers and defend individual liberty, the law and the Constitution as written.”
... drips with bitter hilarity.
Let's see if we can fix it:
Justice Thomas and Governor DeSantis believe in the abolishment of the separation of powers, believe that individual liberty applies only to Republicans and their chosen allies, and sneer at the law and Constitution as written except when it can be used to further their ends.
Thanks for all you do.
You have to admit,
When George W told us all , "we would be greeted as liberators".
We all were highly skeptical.
But even I was surprised when they tossed their shoes at at the greatest Liberator (GW).
More amazing was how humbly agile George Bush the liberator was in ducking those shoes.
Pretty solid, for a clip show.
